What the role is

• Manage and engage client/consultant/ contractors and local authorities to drive project execution, resolve issues, submission to authorities and overall on-site construction supervision.
• Develop good working relationships with clients and partners in the industry.

What you will need:

• A recongized degree in Civil Engineering from a university recongized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in design and project management of building projects of various project sizes and typology.
• Strong technical proficiency in engineering analysis and design programmed. Knowledge in BIM will be an advantage.
• Conversant with local authorities’ requirements and submission procedures.
• A good track record of being a project / technical lead for significant / key projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, stakeholder management skills.

• Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimation and details/ schedules for projects.  
• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team. 
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. 
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. 
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. 
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. 
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. 
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. 
• Prepares technical specification sections. 
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Executive Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join the Singapore Office in a growing engineering consulting business.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• To work with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural scheme for structures and buildings.
• To carry out engineering analysis to assess the stability and load to be sustained by the structures.
• To carry out engineering design in according with Eurocodes or relevant international design codes.
• To prepare submission to authorities for approval of design.
• Provide technical advice to team members/colleagues in supporting or leading role and embrace a culture that values teamwork
• To attend project meetings with Client, Project Manager and Consultants from other disciplines.
• To attend site progress meetings and reply to technical queries.
• To lead junior engineer in delivering design and seek clearance for all relevant parties and authorities
• To conduct supervision & contract administration when required

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise building from a local engineering consulting environment is preferred.
• Those registered as Professional Engineer with PEB and/or have more relevant working experience will be considered for senior role.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software.
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
• Able to interact and work with colleagues and member of other consultants at various levels.
• A team, client and delivery focused working style.

• Report to M&E Manager and assist in carrying out his duties pertaining to the mechanical and electrical aspects including checking method statements, submittal documentation
• Involved in water gates installation and operations
• Monitors subcontractor works in relation to mechanical and electrical installations such as pumps, water piping, and valves
• M&E Coordination with the Civil works

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent academic qualifications
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in M&E
• Must be experience in pumps installation and water management installations will have added advantage
