Duties and Responsibilities of Tunnel Mechanical Manager (for LTA projects)
- report to the Project Director and Project Manager
- In charge of tunnel M&E team, TBM and plant operations
- planning and overseeing the TBM assembly, testing, commissioning and dismantling operations.
- responsible for the maintenance and operation of the equipment for tunneling, including TBM.
- responsible for M&E works in tunneling and analyzing tunneling work progress and timely reporting of work progress
- manage and lead the various tunnel engineers,resources and logistics
- review TBM design to ensure equipment compatibility
- Coordinate with TBM manufacturer and contractors to ensure safety compliance with work plans
- Manage and responsible for all aspects of mechanical works
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Involve in the thorough review of method statements and risk assessment and technical submissions for tunnel mechanical works
- monitoring and updating work progress
- Work closely with sub-contractors on project progress and ensure timely work arrangements.
- Ensure that all the works are executed in accordance with approved Method Statement, Safety Procedure and Quality Methods.
- Attend regular meetings with sub-contractors on work progress and prepare monthly meeting progression report.
- Attend E&M meeting and inspection with client and authorities
REQUIREMENT :
1.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
2.Tunnel Mechanical Manager must have at least 15 years of tunnelling experience of which 10 year are in tunnel mechanical works.
3.Good computer skill to fulfil the job functions (Office365 and Auto-Cad, etc.).
5.Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards
6.Able to do shift work (12hours)
7.Strong project management and leadership skills
8. Able to start work within 2 weeks after job offer will have an added advantage
9. Salary will commensurate with experience
