Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise

• Possess deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments

• Possess deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)

• Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product

• Possess deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds

• Possess experience in AWS, Terraform, and other automation orchestration tooling development skillset

• Possess lead experience managing the databases for multiple applications

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Harness strong negotiating skills, conflict management and troubleshooting skills

• Possess Oracle DBA Experience with strong understanding of database architecture and performance tuning

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead Engineer role independently for Mechanical scope such as:

• Perform all engineering design assignment (Core: Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Turbines, Machinery, Package Equipment. Option: Vessels, HVAC )
• Checker role for department rotating/package deliverables.
• Prepare specifications, data sheet, and inquiry documents.
• Perform all discipline engineering assignment and design work.
• Perform technical bid evaluation.
• Mechanical Handling and Movement Study.
• Coordinate with disciplines for layout.
• Review of vendor documentation and vendor management.
• Provide technical requirements and assessment for inspection and QC related matters.
• Participate in site surveys, HAZOPs, and various workshops.
• Participate in FATs, shop inspections and provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning stage.
• Handle interface matters and coordinate with relevant parties.
• He/she must be ready to work at construction site and be ready for working overseas upon request.
• Other work related requests from Department Manager/ Supervisor.

Competencies / Preferred Skills:

• Familiar with and have experience with pumps, compressors blowers, turbines and other industrial package.
• Possess ability to interpret client requirement, identify deviations and co-ordinate for resolutions. In addition, he/she demonstrates the ability to verify own product for error free output and draft technical resolutions for issues, communicate interface matters timely to various discipline.
• Experience to lead an amalgamated team of engineers working in different locations.
• Competent in English language and proficient in MS Office programs.
• Competent in planning and coordination with relevant parties both internal and external.

Job Responsibilities:

· Able to plan, implement and monitor work schedule for all necessary sites.

Job Description

• Design the electrical system for process plant (water/wastewater treatment plant, incineration plant, etc.) and coordination with other disciplines for the design work
• Review project specifications, technical proposal/design documentations from the electrical subcontractor/supplier and liaise with project consultant / client for the approval of technical documentations/drawings.
• Support electrical system related procurement work, develop cost estimates for electrical products and electrical works, and prepare the schedule for electrical works.
• Project coordination, ensure project is on schedule and is running smoothly, including handling technical matters at site, managing electrical subcontractor/supplier and working on site with clients and other stakeholders.
• Supervise installation and testing and commissioning of electrical system.
• Other duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in process plant electrical EPC work with Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline. For Diploma holder, minimum 6 years of experience is required. For senior position, candidate must have at least 8 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems including motion, temperature measurement, PID Loop, Safety Interlock circuits, etc.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC Power Distribution Systems including selection of circuit breakers, power supplies, contractors, cable sizing, etc.
• Familiar with electrical design code of practice and standards in Singapore.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D/Bentley is preferred.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Willing to take on responsibility and make effort to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to work with a diverse team.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines
