Responsibilities

• Research, optimization and implementation of privacy-enhancing technologies, including but not limited to MPC, PSI, ZKP, FL, DP, HE and PKC.
• Apply privacy-enhancing technologies to practical scenarios and working on challenges encountered during implementation.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including data engineers, software developers and product managers to design, develop, and deploy PETs products and services.

Requirement

About the Role:

The Data Center Engineer will oversee the optimal performance and maintenance of Data Center and ELV operations, including network cabling, IT hardware installation, and environmental monitoring. Your role includes managing Data Center infrastructure, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with service standards and agreements.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Perform facilities management related tasks in relation to the Data Center and/or Extra-Low Voltage (“ELV”) operations, including but not limited to structured network cabling, cable tracing, patching of cable and rack management, infrastructure and Data Center capacity planning.

· Responsible for the design and installation of structured network cabling, cable tracing, patching of cables and rack management in respect of infrastructure cabling used by the surveillance network.

· Responsible for the installation, removal, testing and labeling of all cross-connect cables (for e.g., cat6 cables, coax cables and fiber cables etc.).

· Responsible for the installation, re-location and removal of cabinets, racks, devices and other IT equipment inside the Data Center and ELV rooms.

· Responsible for the installation of IT hardware, including network switches, servers, shelves, intelligent Power Distribution Units (“iPDU”), rails, cable management and other IT equipment in the Data Center and ELV rooms.

· Maintain the cleanliness of the Data Center and ELV rooms.

· Liaise with the Facilities, Security and Surveillance teams to ensure optimal operation of electricity, heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and monitoring environments within the Data Center and ELV rooms.

· Responsible for the configuration and management of Data Center equipment, including IP Kernel based Virtual Machine, iPDU and Data Center Infrastructure Management (“DCIM”) software.

· Maintain and update DCIM software to the latest version.

• Apply appropriate tests and test equipment to ensure reassembly is correct and effective

2) Use of Condition Monitoring on Mechanical Equipment.

• Adjust instruments to meet the operating specification
• Make adjustments with minimum disruption to any ongoing activities and minimum waste of resources.
• Monitor and record what has been carried out in work history or log.

3) Diagnose faults in Mechanical Equipment.

• Respond promptly to problems in line with approved procedures.
• Select appropriate tests and diagnostic procedures and apply them methodically.
• Carry out Visual, Close and Detailed inspections on Mechanical equipment.
• Use the results of inspections to determine the appropriate actions to take.
• Record an accurate and full description in the appropriate document history

4) Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures.

• Unplanned discharges to the environment are identified, halted where possible, and reported according to policy, procedure and regulation.
• Relevant PPE is used to deal with unplanned discharges using company procedures
• Equipment, waste or other materials for disposal are dealt with according to the correct procedure.
• Environmental protection and pollution control are enforced effectively with colleagues, subordinates and subcontractors.

5) Contribute to The Health and Safety of the Working Environment

• Work area within your own responsibility is kept clean and free of hazards.
• Positive action is taken to stop hazards and unsafe behaviours
• Alarms are raised as appropriate and/or acted upon using applied policies and procedures or initiative
• Colleagues and subcontractors are alerted ASAP of any hazards or potentially dangerous changing conditions.
• All potential and actual incidents are reported to the relevant supervisor.

6) Emergency Response

• See Station Bill. Perform emergency response role.
• Demonstrate competence during Emergency Response Drills and training exercises.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or local equivalent

• 3 yrs experience desired with offshore experience preferred.

• Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.

• Good experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.

• Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
