Primary Purpose:

Preferred Qualifications

Job Description:

• Assist in coordinating, scheduling, planning, and supervising purchases, production, and site management.
• Lead, monitor, review & implement project scheduling, purchasing, installation, commissioning, and operation of equipment/machinery to ensure that all objectives of safety, completion time, technical aspects, and profitability are met.
• Preparation of project documents and engineering drawings
• Work with Engineering Team to handle project/engineering document/drawings and ensure proper tracking and distribution.
• Liaise with vendors/subcontractors on equipment/material submission approval, delivery & receipt of goods, and commissioning of equipment.
• Identify and resolve technical problems and ensure that the expenditure of the projects is kept within budgeted costs and completed within the schedule.
• Ensure purchasing activities, e.g. sourcing, evaluation, and recommendations for purchase, are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise with main contractors/subcontractor/site engineers regarding on-site requirements and progress

Job requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical solutions in medium or large size engineering in centrifugal inline pump products and packages (like fire water pumps packages in line with NFPA 20 standard guideline).
• Create engineering drawings and specifications for components, products and mechanical designs working with internal and external customers through the development and approval process.
• Maintain quality and accuracy of product master data in ERP system as per latest updates required by sales, purchasing, production and aftermarket.
• Provide technical support to customer solution engineering, product improvement within Engineering and to other stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain product data books, instruction and operation manuals.

Education & Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering AND 5+ years of experience in product development (preferably in pump products and systems in marine applications such as package engineering, hydraulic power packs and diesel engine driven systems).
• Experience with mechanical designs involving rotative equipment, steel structures, piping required.
• Ability to use AutoCAD, 3D CAD required, good understanding of CAD & GD&T standards.
• Good knowledge on sustaining engineering and ability to use enterprise software.
• Basic understanding centrifugal pumps and pumping systems.
• Efficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and the internet.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager with project functions, including project management, site management, and risk control to achieve project goals.
• Support Project Manager in planning and coordinating construction works according to the master and detailed work programs.
• Guide junior Engineers in daily work execution.
• Prepare and submit project documents such as schedules, method statements, design plans, risk assessments, and reports.
• Supervise construction to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, quality standards, and ESH practices.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, authorities, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on all project matters.
• Facilitate site inspections, submit technical reports, and maintain records. Assist in verifying progress payments and contractor claims.
• Attend regular meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to monitor project progress.
• Establish and maintain a document control system for design drawings and project documents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineer Board.
• At least 3 years of working experience in construction and infrastructure industry (LTA, Roadwaorks, MRT Projects).
