Description of the Roles:
As a key member of the mechanical engineering team, you will work on cross-functional team projects to develop and deliver new and innovative technical solutions for medical products. You will play a critical role in medical robotic projects developing and integrating diagnostic, interventional, and machine learning technologies.
Specifically, you will provide electro-mechanical engineering expertise for product development and integration. You will be working on designing mechanisms and structures, and integrating actuators, motion components, and sensors to achieve innovative product functionalities.
The challenge for you is to successfully design and develop electro-mechanical systems in collaboration with other engineering teams, to achieve an efficient operation, reliable and safe product for clinical applications.
Requirements
· Bachelor or Master in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Biomedical engineering.
· 3-5 years’ experience in the design & development of electro-mechanical or robotic system.
· Experience at least one cycle of product development.
· Academically inclined with at least 2nd Upper Honours.
· Able to communicate and write documents in Chinese (preferred).
· Strong technical capability to understand designs for mechanical structure and electro-mechanical assemblies.
· Strong interest in mechanism design, kinematic and dynamic of mechanics, especially in precision mechanism.
· Good knowledge of various materials (metal and plastic) and manufacturing processes for product design.
· Proficient in 3D CAD modelling and simulation software like SolidWorks.
· Good knowledge and experience in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis.
· Good knowledge and experience in performing FEA and motion analysis and technical review of mechanism design.
· Able to travel on short notice for short period.
· Able to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities
· Work with cross-functional teams on detailed electro-mechanical design at system level, sub-systems, modules, and components level.
· Support and review critical technical development related to electro-mechanical system.
· Support feasibility study on conceptual design for new products.
· Resolve issues and improve product reliability.
· Ensure the product design and functionalities meet user needs, able to meet cost target and quality specifications.
· Perform analytical studies, risk assessment, mechanical verification, and validation.
· Co-ordinate design and production activities locally or with overseas partners.
Ensure proper documentation (Design History File) for mechanical design.
