Automation Engineer

Our client is looking for an automation engineer to maintain and improve its existing automation capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of storage systems and packaging equipment.
• Perform regular preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on storage systems and packaging equipment to ensure optimal operations with minimal disruptions to supply chain operations.
• Work closely with operations and automation teams to ensure that all automation equipment and processes meet safety standards and comply with company policies.
• Preparation of reports on system performance and breakdowns.
• Calculate and identify bottlenecks in process flows to prevent bottlenecks and formulate backup plans with the operations team as a preventive measure.

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
• Ideally at least 3 years of relevant working experience with hands-on technical exposure to automation equipment and/or warehouse automation projects.
• Familiar with AutoCAD – hands-on experience in automation control products such as Siemens IPC, PLC, HMI, SCADA and TIA Portal would be an added advantage.
