What You’ll Do
You will play a key role as a Senior Tech Support Engineer to drive service, performance and quality management in the end-user environment necessary to support the organization’s digital transformation.
Service Desk Management:
- Manage a team handling desktop support, service desk functions, and VIP support
- Ensure high-performance service delivery, including improvement initiatives and post-incident reviews
- Develop a deep understanding of projects to optimize service delivery and meet customer expectations
- Analyze processes and implement strategies to improve service delivery
Performance and Quality Management:
- Recommend and implement service delivery improvements
- Track and report on service delivery performance to management
- Collaborate with teams to set IT standards
Stock and Inventory Management:
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system
- Manage supplier relationships and stock levels
- Purchase new equipment and negotiate favorable contracts
- Lead annual stocktaking and verification
Budget, Procurement and Forecasting:
- Manage and execute IT procurement within budget
- Monitor spending and implement budget controls
What Will Make You Shine
- 5-8 years of experience leading a team
- Diploma in Information Technology or a related field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working with outside vendors
- Strong knowledge of how to handle issues, escalate problems, and follow IT best practices
- Proven ability to manage and lead people, both in person and remotely
- Positive attitude, adaptable to change, and able to motivate others towards company goals
- Independent worker with strong communication skills to thrive in a team environment
