Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Engineering and Production Team to develop incoming quality, In Process Quality and Outgoing Quality Requirements
• Responsible for all Quality plans of all products to meet customers specifications
• Work with relevant agencies to adhere to certification requirements when required
• Work with management to establish and maintain company’s QMS and as Management Representative (MR) of the company
• Work with Procurement/Purchasing to ensure that contractors/suppliers quote/supply items that meet customer’s specification
• Working out costing of products when required by management
• Responsible for all equipment calibration/maintenance program within the company
• Other ad hoc duties when required

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Job Description:

• Documentation creation and conversion to Batam standards;
• Drive the development and design transfer for Analytical Lighting products from Salem to Batam, working with Cambridge and Salem counterparts interfacing with Batam Manufacturing team to ensure successful transfer, ultimately leading to mass production in Batam;
• Coordinate and prioritize equipment transfers/CAPEX requirements to ensure timely production transfers as required;
• Provide technical leadership to manage & realize product/process transfer timeline and critical paths to meet transfer objective and target;
• Work with Cambridge/Salem/Batam Manufacturing teams to review process capability and transfer plan;
• 50% travel (Batam, 40%, Cambridge/Salem 10%) will be required during this phase to kick off the production transfers;
• Determine and develop manufacturing processes by studying process transfer requirements, researching, designing, adapting manufacturing methods and equipment within the transfer scope;
• Provide technical support to Batam production transfer team on production equipment set up and critical parameter setting to ensure manufacturability using Measurement System Analysis (MSA / GR&R), Process Failure Mode Space requirement and equipment layout (Lean concept);
• Improve manufacturing efficiency (capacity & productivity) by analyzing and planning work-flow and equipment layout;
• Engage in development research/competitor analysis as input to future technical roadmap and conceptual design and research;

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related discipline;
• 5 years in a related industry or occupation preferred;
• Experience in documentation creation and manufacturing of lighting systems and Xenon lamps;
• Knowledge of electrical test systems, furnace brazing, glass working, vacuum deposition processes;
• Extensive travel between Singapore and Batam. Some travel to Cambridge and Salem expected.
• Able to manage customer requests and sample requirements.

Responsibilities

- Prepare BIM Model, Shop drawings, Plan & Section drawings of HVAC related according to client’s requirements.

- Coordinate with main-contractor’s draft person (3D modeler) for ensuring that all arising matters while establishing

and coordinating the HVAC drawing with other MEP drawings are resolved for smooth combination to the overall

CSD requirements.

- Report and update BIM progress whenever required.

Jobskill / Experience

- Min 3 Year(s) of working experience in ACMV/HVAC Field is preferred.

- Knowledgeable in CP83 Local CAD Standard, AutoCAD 2D, duct and piping layout and schematic drawings,

knowledge of 3D BIM Modelling (Revit is a MUST), MEP, MicroStation and Navisworks is a plus.

- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.

Maintain Data Center Systems

• Technical Supervision of the operation, maintenance and repair of all critical environment systems while maintaining 100% uptime to all critical mechanical systems.
• Adherence to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the Data Centre domain.
• Work with Facilities Assistant/Manager providing a yearly comprehensive periodic maintenance regime.
• Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend system upgrades.
• Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
• Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets Client standards
• Develop and keep up to date all site mechanical procedures including EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, and APs. All documentation should be consistent with current client standards.
• Specification and recording of the Technician Training certification program and supervision of drill and scenario training aids

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• Qualified to Diploma/Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years direct industry experience or a minimum of 8 years' experience at Mechanical Technician level in a critical environment combined with supervisory experience. Preference is given to data centre, hospital, pharmaceutical production or power plant experience.
• An excellent understanding and experience of the mechanical and control systems used in a data centre environment, including: Fuel Systems,Building Management Systems and Controls, Chilled water cooling plant, Air handling units, Variable Frequency Drives (VSDs), Fire Alarm systems, and FireSuppression systems (pre-action sprinklers).
• Experience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLC's), building management systems, and their integration with the data centre infrastructure.
• Extensive experience of large scale chilled water plant including chillers, chilled water distribution and storage systems, cooling towers, and chemical dosing systems
• Experience of working within a Project Environment and dealing with design and construction engineering professionals
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client and with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data centre systems.
• Computer literate with the ability to compile and submit monthly and annual reports, and to monitor and trend operational characteristics (load, capacity, environmental conditions etc).
• Strong and committed team player with excellent communication and coaching skills. Previous experience of supervising highly qualified Technicians and reporting to peers and senior managers.
• Willingness to work outside of normal hours to resolve technical issues in a 24/7 industry
• The ability to learn quickly and to gain maximum benefit from extensive training and development programmes aimed at ensuring that any identified knowledge or experience deficiencies are addressed in the short term.
