Process Engineer (WDA) - 2 Years Contract

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Is involved in/supports the design and execution of small/ full scale experiments using appropriate methodology and/or simulations for products/ processes to evaluate the impact of proposed changes to validated equipment/ processes. Examples (but not limited to) include managing documentation updates (e.g.SOPS, batchsheets, recipes), quality risk assessments, change control management/ filing support (if applicable) and validation activities such as equipment qualification, simple process validation and cleaning validation/monitoring activities. Expected to have a working knowledge of respective compliance topics related to the above-mentioned activities and understands the principles of Quality by Design (QbD) and executes the requirements in support of a QbD filing where applicable.
• Proactively monitors the performance of process parameters, critical quality attributes and equipment/module(s)/unit operation(s) performance during manufacturing and cleaning. This could involve leading/participating in Prospective Process Analysis (PPA), statistical analysis and response to shifts and trends in process performance. Where applicable (under the guidance of colleagues if necessary), undertakes responsibilities as an active site product steward and is a member of the Value Chain Technical Team.
• In addition, participates in Continued Process Verification and Annual Product review activities as part of product lifecycle management. Applies moderately complex statistical and risk analysis tools to evaluate actions required to ensure product robustness across applicable manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Demonstrates good understanding of product and sterile boundary of the current validated processes. Have good knowledge of the raw materials and PCC (product contact components) used for the products under his/her responsibility.

• Work as a team member to collaborate with other departments to maintain a good EHS culture on site.

• Support site EHS Leader to keep the EHS related expense within the allocated budget.

• Perform EHS support of assigned area (i.e. specific IPT, Process Safety, Environment, and Industrial Hygiene) and ensure all company and regulatory requirements are met.

• To achieve results while displaying inclusive behaviors and communicating effectively through cross functional teams.

• Implement any tasks or projects effectively as assigned by supervisor as prioritized by business need.

• Complete other projects as assigned by supervisor.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Safety or other related.

• Preferred minimum 2 years of Environmental engineering and/or Environmental regulatory compliance related experience in the chemical or petrochemical industries. Other EHS related experience (includes General EHS, Process Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Biosafety) will be a plus.

• Candidates with minimum 2 years of process experience in the chemical or petrochemical industries with interest in EHS development may also be considered

· Work closely with solution architects, application development team to ensure adherence to best practices in design and coding w.r.t SRE principles.

· Monitor, troubleshoot & analyze application & underlying infrastructure performance issues as part of the performance engineering exercises and derive gold-configuration parameters.

· Drive thorough performance analysis of microservices code by using single-user code profiling techniques.

· Assist development team to tune the applications/configurations for critical systems to comply with the NFR before going live in production and ensure the performance recommendations are part of the change request process.

· Ensure appropriate governance w.r.t framework usage across multiple delivery streams and enhance the framework capability to meet the upcoming requirements.

· Participate & contribute to resiliency validation exercises and create proper reporting to the stakeholders.

· Define SLOs at both application-level and service-level, set alert rules and roll-out monitoring dashboards for Production with timely reporting to the stakeholders.

· Automation of various manual tasks w.r.t performance monitoring, alerting, analysis, reporting, capacity planning etc. to improve application observability, resiliency & operational efficiency.
