Core Responsibilities:

Your role involves backend administrative support to frontline Motor Insurance sales teams. Your primary duties are to generate Motor Insurance policy premium quotations from our various insurance partners' portals and issue these policies once they are taken up.

• Provide insurance quotations and process motor insurance applications
• Ensure proper documentation, records and filing upon issuance
• Attend to customers' and partners' insurance-related queries
• Update and maintain accurate customer database
• Promote good team spirit and co-operation within departments

Job Requirements:

• Juniors are welcomed (on-the-job training will be provided)
• Similar experience in insurance agencies/brokers will be a bonus
• CGI professional certification will also put your application at an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Has a good command of English, with both written and oral communication skills

Financial accounting

• Prepare monthly closing journal
• Prepare / Review monthly accounts reconciliations and schedules
• Review monthly inventories ageing report for adequate NRV
• Control chart of a/c, review consistency, control a/c creation and archive
• Assist FM in annual insurance policy renewal review
• Audit review support (External and GCAD review)
• Ensure compliance to accounting standards
• Preparing and submit Benefit in Kind (BIK) - Car and Car-related Benefits
• Annual Statutory Accounts, XBRL

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivables

• Review of sales ledger and purchase ledger reconciliation
• Review monthly inter-co billing and ensure consistent accounting treatment
• Review debtors aging reports and vendors statement reconciliation
• Prepare commissions for payroll submission
• Prepare payroll journals
• Monitor daily cashflow requirements
• Prepare/ review Banker’s Guarantees applications, maintain records and monitor expiry/renewal
• Prepare / review payments to vendors
• Provide advice, guidelines and instructions to shared services centre and operations on day-to-day accounting matters

GST and tax

• Review GST submission workings and GST reconciliation test
• Prepare tax & deferred tax computation for accounting provision
• Prepare corporate tax computations for review by HO and tax consultants
• Fixed Assets and Capex
• Prepare capex and maintain capex records for new / replacement of fixed assets
• Maintain asset register
• Prepare costing for demo registration
• Budget and forecasts - Provide assistance to reporting team to formulate budget and forecasts
• Collaborate with Digital Technology team – user acceptance tests for new programs, parameters and interface set-ups, etc

Job Requirement

• Qualifications - Diploma holder in Accounting & Finance with 5-6 years of working experience or Degree holder in Accounting & Finance with 3-4 years of working experience
• Good Excel skills
• Able to work in fast-paced environment

• Proactively manage travel and non-motor claims from notification to closure, including processing, assessing company liability, and settling claims in accordance with departmental guidelines and authority limits.
• Collaborate with the Claims Lead to develop, refine, document, and implement claims strategies, considering uncertainties, key decisions, and potential outcomes.
• Conduct file reviews and audits, assisting in the resolution of any identified issues. Identify process improvements, provide feedback to reduce rework or errors, and escalate any blockages to the head of the department when necessary.

Requirements:

Job Title: Finance Executive

The Finance Executive supports the finance team in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This role involves handling accounts, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
