We are an exciting global entertainment company seeking a confident and experienced VP, Finance to join us in our Singapore office to manage the finance operations.

You will work closely with our corporate head office and report to the Chief Financial Controller. In collaboration with various corporate functions and both regional and local business leaders, you will co-lead a small team to manage our financial and accounting functions for our Singapore operations. You will be expected to drive business results by analyzing and providing timely, accurate and business relevant information to support critical decision making in a fast-paced, high pressure, entrepreneurial environment.

The ideal candidate is resilient, resourceful, hands-on, able to work independently and highly commercial-minded. You have strong interpersonal skills and highly capable of working in a global multi-cultural setting.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Support the Group Financial Controller with timely, accurate, critical and relevant financial information to stakeholders for informed decision making and evaluation.
• Analyze financial data and prepare Financial P&L and Cashflow Forecast and FP&A for current and subsequent years.
• Review the books and records of corporate entities and analyze monthly management accounts to better monitor internal controls.
• Oversee and prepare income statements, corporate treasury information and related bank documents (e.g. loans and bank guarantees etc.).
• Assist in any ad-hoc financial reporting and projects that may be assigned by Management.
• Timely closing of the entity financials and consolidation of actual results, budgets and forecasts to aid Intercompany reconciliations.
• Provide supporting information where needed for financial statements among the different business units within the Group.

Financial Operations

• Streamlining accounting functions and operations by assisting in systems maintenance and implementation, drafting accounting policies & procedures and providing controls and compliance support to business units.
• Group transfer pricing study and implementation.
• Develop internal control and policies framework and promote regulatory compliance.
• Liaise and work with external consultants to maintain and fine tune functions and financial reports and develop new reports and functions where required.
• Administer key banking platforms, prepare and review all treasury & banking documents as well as all banking facilities forms and submissions.

Corporate Affairs

• Participate in budgeting processes and liaise with 3rd party service providers and consultants for key projects as needed.
• Manage financial transactions and provide guidance on business finance issues to staff.
• Tax Compliance and Payroll processing (via external payroll partner).
• Coordinate and liaise with the auditors both internal and external for auditing processes.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or accounting. Qualified Accountant (CPA or ACCA) preferred.
• At least 15 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in the entertainment, exhibitions, hospitality business.
• Strong knowledge in IFRS and audit requirements, well versed in contract reading and revenue recognition.
• Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and proficiency in accounting software.
• Excel financial modeling skills and strong understanding of database management to deal with large amount of information.
• Excellent communication skills; highly proficient in both oral and written English and able to communicate complex ideas in a simple way in order to work collaboratively with and influence others in a multicultural international environment.
• Excellent team player with good people management skills. Able to work under stress to meet tight reporting deadlines.

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the daily operations of accounting functions. This includes assisting with data entry and ensuring the accuracy and upkeep of financial records. Additionally, the role involves aiding in the preparation of reports and supporting sales reconciliation processes. Alongside these core duties, the Finance Assistant will undertake general administrative tasks and assist with various ad-hoc projects as needed.

This is a 6 months contract with possibility to convert to permanent. Interns and fresh graduates welcome.

Role Responsibilities

· Maintain daily operations of accounting functions

Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the SVP, Finance, you shall assist to ensure the set-up and effective running of finance operations. You are required to maintain the full sets of accounts of the intermediately holding companies to ensure effective implementation of financial controls. Other than the timely provision and analysis of financial reports, you will also be responsible for cash flow forecast and management, tax planning and computation, budgeting, and preparation of statutory accounts. You are expected to work closely with all internals as well as external business partners. This is a highly visible role within the company and you will have the opportunity to work and interact closely with the senior management team.

Principal Duties:

• In charge of the Company’s financial and management reporting, accounting, tax, and treasury functions
• Review of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and financial reports (includes presenting monthly/quarterly reports to the senior management team)
• Prepare and coordinate with all stakeholders for half-yearly SGX reporting, quarterly board meeting preparation, including board paper and presentation slides, and detailed analysis
• Manage the budgeting and financial planning process
• Review and implement accounting and financial procedures and policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial policies
• Review quarterly GST returns, tax computation and handle tax queries from the tax authority
• Manage loan drawing/rollovers, timely activation of bank financing, daily operating cash flows, cash flow forecast, and hedging policy
• Monitor compliance of loan covenants and negotiate amendments/waivers of the loan documents (with lenders) where necessary
• Work with auditors, tax agents, lawyers, bankers, trustee, and other service providers on all finance related matters
• And all other duties as assigned by the SVP, Finance.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA with at least of 3 years of relevant working experience (Preferably in the real estate related industry)
• Team player with the ability to work independently under tight timelines
• Resourceful, meticulous, organized, independent, and able to multi-task. Confident and comfortable with handling data and figures
• Well-versed with current Singapore financial reporting and tax requirements

IT Governance and Budgeting

· Program management and IT governance for IT projects including monitoring of IT governance process and manage WH IT forums.

· Plan, drive, facilitate and execute Annual Budget exercise for WHs’ IT budgets. This involves working with HQ and Synapxe project managers and functional analysts including high-level understanding of applications.

· Lead and track programme milestones and deliverables through the define programme governance controls.

· Oversee in monitoring and managing institution’s IT portfolio budget, commitment, planned cash-flow expenditure and report actual utilization on a regular basis at Cluster level. Support and work with various teams to ensure compliance with campus governance, such as authorization process, MOH funding utilization, etc.

· Work collaboratively with various teams to act as a liaison between WH, NHG and central teams.

· Support, coordinate and work with various teams within Synapxe to cater for end-to-end needs of annual budget used by various teams including Synapxe Finance, PMO, WH Finance etc

· Advice, support and work with various teams to ensure compliance with IT governance, such as authorisation process.

· Support the CIO in monitoring and managing Cluster’s IT portfolio budget, commitment, planned cash-flow expenditure and actual utilization on a regular basis.

· Annual IT Work Plan Agreement for Synapxe and Institution’s endorsement.

· Maintain strong and effective Risk management and Audit compliance

IT Budget

· Prepare Management reporting and provide analysis in IT project cost, IT budget and utilization and various financial analysis to clusters and institutions.

· Pro-actively support and assist programs in project costing, budget, financial analysis, transfer pricing matters and other ad-hoc financial requests.

· Support and assist cluster CIO Offices in project costing and budgets relating to cross cluster projects and maintenance cost (particularly transfer pricing matters).

· Oversee billing matters such as cash-flow expenditure forecast and utilization with analysis.
