We are looking for a self-driven finance professional with strong business acumen and has good foundation in accounting and internal controls who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the global manufacturing controller, this analyst will prepare financial management reports, analyze and validate financial data, perform financial planning & forecasting, using SAP, Anaplan and Power BI, and assist with other accounting and controls activities. This role will need to engage actively as the trusted finance business partner with manufacturing operations in Singapore, playing a pivotal role in supporting, analyzing and connecting financial data and operational data for key stakeholders.
You should be a motivated and collaborative team player who strives for efficiency and forecast accuracy while understanding the business needs. You should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles, internal controls with a positive growth open mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the annual budget plan, quarterly and monthly variances report and forecast analysis for Global Manufacturing Operations - Singapore.
- Hands-on with data validation and reconciliation, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Support key stakeholders on cost savings programs /continuous improvement in productivity projects through quality and deep-dive analytics on performance based on key cost drivers.
- Analytics and reporting of business spend, capital expenditure plan and related variances by functions/business units. Analyze actual cost versus standard cost by product lines.
- Utilizing software or automation tools for management reporting of financial data and cost savings data simulation and modeling.
- Monitor and prepare grant audits with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more business operations, mergers and acquisitions, system implementation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Minimum 8 years of finance & accounting experience with a successful track record in management reporting focusing on providing budget, forecast and business analysis support from high-mix equipment manufacturing industry
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving and analytical skills, financial modeling and simulation skills
- Detail-oriented, meticulous and able to handle large volume of data and piece them into trends
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, SAP ECC/S4 and BI Reporting Tools (Power BI and Anaplan).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal and must be able to effectively business partnering with stakeholders at all levels in a cross-functional matrix environment
- Strong desire to take on new challenges, flexible to adapt changes in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity with logical thinking
- Experience in system implementation/forecasting tool/process improvement
