Summary of Responsibilities:

Establish cost report content and frequency, prepare, and conduct budget holder reviews, and publish reporting. Support Contracting & Procurement group by providing detailed cost and performance analysis.
• Monitor the work hour consumption and associated cost of contractor activities against contractual targets such that potential deviations are identified, and the appropriate corrective actions are taken. Connect with Field Leads, as needed, to validate physical progress and productivity. Act as a focal point for the contractor offboarding plans and ensure changes are captured via the change management process.
• Deliver accurate and high-quality monthly Latest Estimate forecasts for turnaround events. Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from turnaround teams.
• Assist in the maintenance of change/trend management and contingency management: ensure that appropriate changes/trends are reflected in the regular cost forecast updates. Prepare forecasts and review with budget holders. Establish linkage between change/trend management and contingency management, perform the contingency drawdown and ensure accurate current status is reflected in reports.
• Cost reporting: generation of accurate cost reports, including variances from the plan on commitment, VOWD, management of changes and against approved budget. Support preparation of cost reporting in Power Bi dashboard.
• Maintain consistency in cost basis through rigorous adherence to the controls processes.
• Participate and comply with all safety programs.
• Assist with the continuous improvement and implementation of standardized work processes for effective cost control.
• Stay current with mandatory training.
• Support Project Services Peers for implementation of TOOLs and System for Continuous Improvement Works and Initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma of any Engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a cost engineer with strong exposure to costing and project management in oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across various department, with various contractors on site. Strong stakeholder management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor a robust credit control system in collaboration with Company sales and marketing, finance and executive team members.
• Establish Group policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.
• Check consumer credit reports, approve or deny applications and communicate decisions to the appropriate management in a timely manner.
• Assist to develop and negotiate payment plans with Associate customers (overdue balances owed) and to set loan terms and conditions accordingly.
