Job Description:
As part of the front office support team, you will work alongside experienced relationship managers and client advisors, providing administrative and operational support while learning the intricacies of private banking. This role will provide valuable exposure to client relationship management, financial products, and day-to-day banking operations, helping you develop a strong foundation in private banking.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Onboarding and Account Management:
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients by preparing and reviewing client documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Support the completion of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
- Help manage client account openings, closures, and updates, coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth and timely processing.
2. Administrative and Operational Support:
- Provide administrative assistance to relationship managers, including scheduling client meetings, preparing meeting materials, and handling client inquiries.
- Manage and maintain accurate client records, ensuring that all client information is up-to-date and securely stored.
- Assist in the preparation of client reports, investment portfolios, and account statements.
3. Trade Execution and Transaction Support:
- Assist in processing and executing client transactions, including securities trades, foreign exchange, and money market transactions.
- Monitor and follow up on transaction confirmations, ensuring that all trades are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the middle and back office teams to resolve any operational or settlement issues.
4. Client Communication and Relationship Building:
- Serve as a key point of contact for client inquiries, providing timely responses to basic client questions and escalating more complex issues to relationship managers.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing high-quality support and ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Assist in preparing client presentations, briefings, and pitch materials to support business development efforts.
5. Product Knowledge and Sales Support:
- Gain an understanding of the bank’s product offerings, including investment products, credit facilities, and wealth management solutions.
- Support the front office in identifying client needs and proposing appropriate products and services to meet their financial goals.
- Help relationship managers track and follow up on sales leads and client requests, ensuring that opportunities are capitalized upon.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all client interactions and transactions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including anti-money laundering (AML) and CDD guidelines.
- Assist in monitoring client activities for any potential compliance or risk issues, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Stay informed about changes in banking regulations and ensure adherence to the bank’s risk management framework.
7. Data Management and Reporting:
- Support the maintenance of client data in the bank’s systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all records.
- Assist in the generation of regular reports on client activities, account performance, and business performance for senior management and internal stakeholders.
