What you’ll do

- Partner with Store Development team and Store Divisions in the fixed asset process to ensure timely capitalization of assets upon completion of store construction.

- Continuously participate in reviewing and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency for the team.

- Participate in the exciting new changes happening within the fixed asset process where the primary aim is to streamline the end-to-end process and reduce manual reconciliation/entries.

- Monthly closing activities:

a) Ensure proper capitalization of cost and recording of depreciation/disposal/transfer of assets in compliance with local statutory tax laws and DFS’ accounting policies.

b) Prepare Account Reconciliations.

c) Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month end closing activities.

d) Liaise with internal and external audit as well as other outside parties as required.

Ideal Candidate

- Bachelor degree in Accountancy

As an Advisor to the Secretary-General, the incumbent updates staff on administrative and Finance policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, providing authoritative advice and administrative support. Manages oversight on the activities of Financial Service Providers to ensure efficient transfer of funds to programme and project sites.

(F) EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
An advanced university degree (minimum of a Master’s degree and preferably a PhD) in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent certificate from a recognized University is mandatory. Qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) and Membership of a professional body such as the ACCA, ACA, etc. are mandatory.

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the area of finance, financial risk management, or any other comparable experience in a Big 4 (or equivalent) Accounting firm and in industry, preferably with multinational companies, is desirable. As a Credit Manager, you will be part of a team which is working to support our rapid growth at Funding Societies. Our credit team is responsible for making lending decisions. What you will do:

Credit Assessment and Risk Analysis:

• Analyze risks, exposures, and perform due diligence for loan applicants using a proprietary platform, ensuring comprehensive risk assessment of SME clients.
• Evaluate the financial health of applicants through financial statements, market data, and industry trends, while considering macroeconomic factors that may impact the creditworthiness of the business.
• Balance credit risk and business risk by using analytical judgment to make educated and well-informed decisions on loan approvals.
• Conduct ongoing macro-economic, industry, and market analysis to understand potential impacts on the loan portfolio and provide recommendations for strengthening credit strategies.

Loan Evaluation and Decision Making:

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a related field.
