Job Discription:
o Support the preparation and review of financial statements for Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan, ensuring accuracy, and alignment with accounting standards.
o Prepare and file various reports such as taxable payments annual reports, to meet income reporting obligations across APAC countries.
o Collaborate with global data teams, using SQL and query builder to reconcile data with financial records.
o Coordinate and compile essential documentation and financial records to ensure readiness for audits by APAC tax authorities.
o Review financial statements, tax return, transaction data, and other necessary documents to fulfil information requests from tax authorities.
o Conduct quarterly reviews of financial data and tax payments to ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues or discrepancies identified during audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
o Monitor and stay informed about regulatory changes across APAC that could impact tax reporting and compliance requirements.
Job Requirements
o 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, or auditing, preferably within the APAC region.
o Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or ACCA certification is a plus.
o Strong understanding of APAC tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
o Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
o Proficiency in Excel, tax reporting tools, and financial systems.
o Strong organizational skills for managing multiple reports, audit documentation, and tax filings across APAC countries.
