Job Description

1. Take charge of Japanese Clients of Overseas Travel Accident Insurance (OTAI) and Overseas Travel Accident Plus (OTAP)

· Customer Support

2. To ensure regular visits to client’s premises at least once a year or more as to make sure client’s demand/need as well as to enhance relationship with clients

Education / Professional Qualification

Experiences

Communicating and liaising with Japanese clients and Japan HQ is required as part of the job scope. Therefore, proficiency in Japanese is required.

Job scope:

Account Receivable

-Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivables and related tasks

-Review and validate invoices for proper documentation prior to payment

-Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, ensuring accurate aging, application of credits and collections, handling of uncollectible amounts, and resolution of discrepancies

Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Diploma in accounting or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Receivable is essential.

• Perform customer due diligence activities including clearing of screening matches and carrying out enhanced due diligence on high risk customers in accordance to the target turnaround time.

PURPOSE

This role is to support and develop the annual product plan for FWD to ensure customers are able to save, invest and be protected in an efficient manner through Investment-Linked products (ILP)

In this role, you will be responsible for managing cross-asset derivatives portfolios outsourced by AIA Insurance Business Units to AIA IM, blending a proper perspective on financial and derivatives markets and an effective and disciplined risk management approach. • · Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of processes within FIC Operations.
• · Ensuring that the daily tasks required of the function are carried out in an accurate and timely fashion.
• · Taking proactive steps to optimize processes within FIC Operations on a continuous basis.
• · Ensuring that processes are accurately captured in written procedures and that these procedures are continuously updated, particularly when there is evidence that procedures may be out-of-date, inaccurate, incomplete or insufficient to manage risk.

Risk management

• · Identifying and managing risks within FIC Operations including operational risks, regulatory risks, conduct risks, cyber security risks and financial crime risks (including, but not limited to, risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, sanctions breaches and fraud).
• · Undertaking regular reviews of controls within FIC Operations to ensure that these are fit for purpose.
• · maintaining efficient operational and control processes to ensure that the intraday and end of day funding of our nostro and custodian accounts is appropriate and within agreed bank and regulatory tolerances
• · Working collaboratively with Operations Control on risk management and control enhancements (but without over-reliance on Operations Control).
• · Promptly escalating new risks to the Manager, FIC Operations
• · Proactively and promptly managing any risk incidents that relate to or impact FIC Operations

Reporting and MI

• · Providing regular performance MI to the Manager, FIC Operations
• · Reporting promptly any significant performance, service or risk incidents to the Manager, FIC Operations
• · Supporting Manager, FIC Operations with the preparation of any MI that is required from the Operations department.
• · Reporting and escalating to relevant senior stakeholders with regard to funding anomalies/agreed thresholds

Skills and knowledge

• · Demonstrate continuous development in knowledge and skills relevant to this role (with line manager support where appropriate).
• · Staying abreast of industry matters affecting, or potentially affecting, the work performed by FIC Operations including evolving standards or new working practices.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:

Preferred qualifications:

• · Degree holder

Experience required to successfully performing the role:

• · Previous experience in a financial institution preferred
• · Previous experience of either FIC Settlement or Collateral Management or Cash Management within a bank
• · Previous experience of preparing MI for management

Knowledge, technical skills and expertise:

• · Understanding of FIC products
• · Understanding of Cash Management
• · Understanding of Collateral Management
• · Understanding of typical risk management practices within a bank
• · Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese

Work Location: Raffles Place

• Handle insurance claims assessment under the accident and health plans.
• Be part of an exciting team with involvement in service excellence initiatives and projects to improve the claims experience.
• Determine policy coverage, establish proof of loss with proper documentation and provide accurate and timely assessment of accident and health claims within the required service standards and ensure that claims are paid accurately and promptly
• Seek clarifications and liaise with medical institutions and policyholders on outstanding requirements
• Deliver excellent service and enhance customer and distribution channels relationship management
• Attend to claims enquiries
• Suggest and participate in process improvement projects/ initiatives/ system enhancement, including establish claims best practices
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory and legal matter.
• Conduct review of pending claim to ensure reserve adequacy and closure of claims in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree or Professional Insurance Certificate with at least 1 year of relevant accident and health claims experience.
• Prior experience in life claims will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical, written and communication skills
• Customer-centric and meticulous with the ability to work under pressure
