Job Description

The Simulation and Optimization Specialist will foscus on Advanced Analytics and Systems Development in the global logistics and supply chain sector. It involves leveraging simulation and optimization techniques to drive operational improvements, manage complex projects, and support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing innovative solutions, conducting detailed data analysis, and contributing to the creation of digital twin technologies and process optimizations. As a part of Group Technology Team, you will drive the Simulation & Optimization projects by

• participating in the conceptualization, design, simulation, and evaluation of advanced technologies and operational concepts to enhance productivity and efficiency
• driving supply chain transformation by optimizing facility layouts and configurations for new greenfield projects, and evaluate process improvements at maritime terminals and logistics facilities across a global network
• providing decision-makers with analytical support for visualizing and evaluating multi-million dollar options, selecting conceptual designs, and participating in the development of simulation-based digital twin capabilities

The Successful Applicant

The qualified candidate must have:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Business analytics, business process redesign, Simulation and/or Optimization methods
• Familiarity in Data Mining, Analysis, and Forecasting; SQL
• Full stack development experience, application systems & architectural design; .Net, Java, C++, Python
• Experience in discrete event simulation software packages; AutoMod
• Ability to translate complex quantitative data into clear and useful insights
• Skilled in solving complex problems with precision, an innovative mindset & adept at managing cross-cultural sensitivities

Responsibilities:

• Maintains and reviews IT governance and management frameworks on an on-going basis, monitoring effectiveness of the frameworks and recommending improvement opportunities
• Keeps abreast with current and emerging regulatory provisions and reviews against existing IT/OT frameworks and strategic direction periodically to ensure alignment
• Manages governance/ compliance communication and education of IT policies & standards to reinforce compliance and risk aware culture.
• Establishes and maintains IT/OT policies & standards to communicate management’s directives and guide the development of procedures and guidelines
• Coordinates internal and external audit assessments on IT policies, and processes, ensuring compliance with IT audit standards and IT risks to build strong governance.
• Ensures that comprehensive IT/OT risk management processes are established to identify, analyse, mitigate, manage, monitor and communicate IT risk, aligning them to company enterprise risk management framework
• Leads and documents execution/ reporting of group IT risk assessments and controls and other compliance programs
• Develops IT risk metrics and tolerance limits to assist senior management on the identified risks that would have negative impact on the IT governance in the company
• Ensures that processes are established for timely reporting and escalating of IT risk events and responses to appropriate parties
• Reviews audit and risk reports and supports efforts to address identified IT risks and ensure overall regulatory compliance and certification of IT/OT systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Security Management or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT, Cybersecurity, IT policy development and governance, or related roles
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, CRISC, CISSP, CISA, CISM or equivalent will have an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL), standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 37001), Business Continuity Management, and regulatory requirements (e.g. PDPA)
• Good technical understanding of IT/OT applications, tools, and networks
