Job Description

• Salary Package: Basic + Performance Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• To assist and support Head chef in overseeing the kitchen operation.
• Ensure proper purchasing, receiving and ingredient storage standards in the kitchen.
• Responsible for monitoring food quality, consistency and ensure that food presented to our guests is of the highest quality.
• Constantly assess freshness, presentation and temperature of food served.
• Ensure food portioning, serving and ingredient purchases are controlled, aligned with our standard operating procedures in order to minimize wastage.
• Enforce the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Ensure that all perishable items are stored quickly and efficiently, and all items are utilized completely to avoid wastage.
• Ensure ingredients are always fresh and within their expiry dates.
• Prevent the use of spoiled or contaminated products in any phase of food preparation.
• Other tasks as assigned by Management.

1. Menu planning: Chefs are responsible for planning menus and developing new recipes that meet customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and budget requirements.
2. Food preparation: Chefs oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in their kitchen. This includes tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking meats.
3. Kitchen management: Chefs manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. They also oversee inventory, order supplies, and ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.
4. Quality control: Chefs ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet their high standards for taste, appearance, and nutritional value.
5. Food safety: Chefs must follow food safety guidelines and ensure that all food is prepared and stored safely to prevent foodborne illness.
6. Budgeting: Chefs must work within budget constraints, balancing the cost of ingredients and labor with the need to produce high-quality dishes.
7. Customer service: Chefs often interact with customers to answer questions, take orders, and ensure that they are satisfied with their dining experience.
8. Need to work on PH / OT/ willing to work long hrs and night shift.

The Head Chef manages and oversees operations in the kitchen as well as the kitchen staff of an outlet. He/She plans the menu and liaises with suppliers. He/She controls the budget and ensures the quality of kitchen operations. He/She ensures that problems that arise are rectified in a positive and professional manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for a specific section or station in the kitchen, overseeing the preparation of dishes and ensuring quality and consistency.

• Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen to ensure that all dishes from the assigned station are prepared according to the restaurant's standards.
• Execute intricate and detailed cooking techniques required for fine-dining cuisine.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Work closely with other members of the kitchen team to coordinate the timing of dishes.
• Assist in managing inventory for the assigned station and report to sous chef or head chef regarding ingredient needs and shortages.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised station.
• Carry out any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of working experience in the relevant field.
• Best with working experiences in a professional kitchen, with a focus on fine dining.
• Excellent communication skills with good knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Team player with passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.
• Able to adapt to fast-paced environments.
