As a BIM Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless project delivery through the effective coordination of BIM processes. Working closely with project teams, you will manage the development and integration of BIM models, drive collaboration across disciplines, and uphold project standards to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment of BIM workflows and objectives.
• Coordinate and manage the development of BIM models for various project phases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
• Implement and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), ensuring adherence to ISO 19650 or other relevant industry standards.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution using tools like Navisworks or Solibri, facilitating coordination between disciplines.
• Support the integration of 3D models with project schedules, 4D simulations, and quantity take-offs.

Food Safety Compliance:

• Ensure food safety meets local, national, and international standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO22000, FSMS).

Administrative Support:

Roles and Responsibilities

Electrical

• Perform electrical installation, be proficient in the control system
• Conduct fault analysis and testing of mechanical and electrical systems
• Monitor and supervise work progression, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety regulations.
• Read and interpret all installation Single Line Drawings (SLD) and execute installations accordingly.
• Attend technical, contractual, and weekly site progress meetings.
• Prepare ISO documents, shop drawings, and submit the required materials.

Fire Sprinkler System

• Monitor and assist with the installation of fire protection system projects
• Evaluate fire protection system components and materials
• Develop fire safety plans, procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and the Site Manager.

Requirements

Job Description:

• Assist in coordinating, arranging and timely follow up Oil Major Vetting Inspections as directed.
• Attend vessels to conduct Marine Inspections and pre-vetting inspections or vetting assistance as directed. Ensure follow-up of all deficiencies noted during vessel attendance is recorded and filed in the common drive.
• Conduct annual onboard navigation audits, preferably during a short voyage. Input navigation audit results into the navigation audits database and follow up on all deficiencies and defects to closure.

Quality and Compliance:

• - Assist in the implementation of ASL Ship Management’s Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental Policies including sailing onboard for short voyages for onboard implementation of the HSSEQ System for new vessels.
• Assist in periodical management review of ASL HSSEQ system, record findings from the reviews and propose actions if necessary.
• Assist in maintenance and updating of the HSSEQ Management System.
• A member of the internal Marine & HSSEQ audit team.
• Assist in establishing annual ISM & ISPS audit plans, arrange and co-ordinate internal audits, take part in audits and follow-up correction actions.
• Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of accidents, marine casualties and near misses.
• Assist in preparation, implementation and maintenance of office and vessel’s contingency plans.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience (at sea)
• Experience in chemical tankers
• Minimum 3 year sailing experience as Chief Officer on Chemical Tankers (with a preference for sailing experience on parcel tankers)
• Hold relevant maritime certifications such as Chief Officer’s certificate or Master’s license (added advantage)
