Exciting opportunity for a hands-on electrical engineering professional to develop advanced laser systems with a focus on optimizing performance and reliability. This includes leveraging expertise in circuit design, power systems, and embedded controls. The role will include re-engineering existing systems to reduce costs, enhancing the product portfolio, and providing seamless support for sustaining production with the aim to directly contribute to improving operational efficiency and driving profitability.
Role
· Design and optimize electrical and electronic systems for advanced laser products, ensuring high performance and reliability.
· Develop, analyze, and test circuits for laser systems, including power supplies, control units, and signal processing components.
· Embedded control systems will be implemented and troubleshooted to enhance laser functionality and automation.
· Re-engineer existing designs to reduce costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
· Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve design-for-manufacture (DFM) processes, ensuring efficient and scalable production.
· Provide technical support to sustain smooth manufacturing operations and consistent product quality will be a key responsibility.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability in laser system designs and production processes.
Requirements
· Bachelor in electrical & Electronics (BEng) or equivalent with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in electrical circuit and layout design.
· Proficient in using standard measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, laboratory power supplies, and multimeters.
· Strong experience in designing electronics schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer, Cadence or similar tools.
· Familiar with IPC standards and their application in PCB design and manufacturing.
· Basic firmware programming skills and the ability to troubleshoot embedded systems.
· Analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and reliability.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
