Job Description

We are looking for motivated individuals to join us:

• Assist in the preparation of food accordingly
• Prepare ingredients and cook food on the menu
• Able to bake simple cakes/bread
• Have the creativity & interest to create new items on the menu

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years experience in relevant industry/role
• Preferably with Food Hygiene Certificate
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
• Has an interest in food & able to R&D new menu items if needed

Other Information:

• 6 days work week, each work day is about 5-6hours
• Located in Kovan
• Small menu

To manage and supervise the daily kitchen works and ensure smooth operations. Including purchases of ingredients, food preparation, and cooking, Control of food quality, and presentations. Manage the cost of goods sold, Experience in Local and South East Asia Cuisines. Innovative recipes creation, and menu planning. Liaison with suppliers and interact with customers. Simple daily bookkeeping

· At least 10 years experience
· Willing to work on holidays / work on shifts / change of shift
· Able to stand/work for long hours


1 COOK FOOD IN A TIMELY MANNER

2 SET UP THE KITCHEN WITH COOKING EQUIPMENT, LIKE KNIVES, PANS AND FOOD SCALES

3 STUDY EACH RECIPE AND GATHERING ALL NECESSARY INGREDIENTS

4 WORK TOGETHER WITH KITCHEN STAFF AND DELEGATE TASKS RELATED TO MEAL PREP, COOKING AND DELIVERING FOOD TO DINERS IN A TIMELY FASHION

5 FOLLOW THE BUDGET ESTABLISHED BY THE RESTAURANT MANAGER

6 ENSURE SAFETY AND SANITATION PRACTICES IN THE KITCHEN

7 KEEP UP WITH INDUSTRY TRENDS AND CREATE NEW RECIPES
