About the Opportunity
As the Insights Manager – Advanced Nutrition, you will play a critical role in delivering consumer & customer insight led demand choices & de-risking winning sales and marketing activation across Anlene and Anmum brands.
You will be responsible for shaping consumer & customer category/brand growth drivers and insights that create a clear path to demand and delivering the strategic insight roadmap that solves for key insight gaps for Fonterra to win in consumer brands. Above all else, you will consistently bring the voice of the consumer & customer to the forefront of every decision to drive sustainable behaviour change.
Role Accountabilities
Strategic Insights & Innovation:
- Deliver deep consumer, category, country, channel, and competitive insights into global category, brand, and channel plans.
- Identify key growth drivers and innovation platforms to scale growth across brands, channels, and countries.
- Collaborate with Innovation teams to intersect consumer, market, and scientific/technological signals of change to fuel innovative ideas.
Strategic Insight Roadmap:
- Build and deliver a pipeline of priority insight projects addressing key need gaps.
- Ensure effective storytelling through debriefs and workshops to drive actionability.
- Drive the application of insights across both central and market teams.
Consumer/Customer Closeness:
- Support the ongoing qualitative capture of consumer and customer empathy insights for the advanced dairy portfolio.
- Share the heartbeat of consumers and customers with stakeholders to provide clarity on core customer jobs to be done.
- Collaborate with central and in-market teams to translate insights into prioritized customer improvement initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Build strong relationships with Data & Analytics suppliers to ensure the relevance and evolution of key data products.
- Brief in new business dashboards and analytics application requirements.
- Influence support for building and scaling these initiatives with other teams.
Ad-hoc Insight & Customer Partnership Support:
- Prioritize and deliver ad-hoc insight support requests from central and local sales, marketing, and business development/innovation stakeholders.
- Leverage existing Fonterra tools and platforms to deliver efficient insights.
Business Partner Leadership:
- Partner with Global Anlene and Anmum marketing teams to translate business objectives into audience/segment and portfolio marketing, innovation, and sales choices.
- Ensure advanced dairy portfolio initiatives are built on winning value propositions that address key customer tensions.
- Drive effective sales and marketing activation to outperform competitors.
About You
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, management, marketing, or human sciences.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a large global food business, with experience managing a portfolio across Asian business units.
- Experience in both client-side and agency-side roles in a specialist insights capacity.
- Ability to facilitate insight generation/deployment workshops, building and deploying consumer/customer insight models and frameworks, and strategic plan building or innovation development.
- Proven ability to influence, manage, and facilitate a group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Compelling storytelling skills to drive insights to action.
- Qualitative and quantitative primary research design across various tools and methodologies.
- Expertise in managing multi-country projects and senior cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical, numeracy, communication, and presentation skills.
- People skills, including remote collaboration and effective stakeholder management.
- Local and international business acumen, with a deep understanding of Fonterra's strategy and market dynamics.
