About the role
As an Audience Growth Specialist under the The Straits Times’ young audience brand Headstart, you will play a key role in driving the distribution of ST's broad range of content through social media and messaging platforms, with the aim of growing reach among the younger audiences in Singapore and beyond.
You will be exposed to exciting opportunities to craft new initiatives eg. features, videos, social posts, to introduce Headstart to new audiences. You will work closely with and be well supported by ST's team of journalists, photographers, and multimedia producers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Implement a distribution strategy on social media platforms to boost traffic to Headstart content
- Curate and create social posts and short-form videos
- Stay on top of features and trends on various social platforms
- Make informed and data-driven recommendations on how to meet ST's goals for young audience reach and engagement
Are you the right fit?
We are looking for someone who has:
- Passion for and understanding of social media and messaging platforms
- A finger on the pulse of social media trends and young audience behaviour
- The confidence and flair to be the face and voice of social media content
- Familiarity with analytics tools and social media metrics
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent analytical and written skills
- A degree or diploma, and at least 3 years of experience in media, communications, social media or relevant industry
This is a contract position till March 2026.
