About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. • Medical Communications: Medical communications provide the scientific bridge between clinical development and commercial functions in pharmaceutical and device companies. Most activities have a strong patient and/or healthcare professional (HCP) focus, and act to educate and inform clinical decision making and patient care, or to gather insights that inform a product’s clinical development. These projects require the ability to work closely with clients and prominent HCPs to deliver high quality writing that is scientifically rigorous, patient focused, and in line with the strategic positioning of the pharmaceutical or medical devices products. Working in medical communications at Costello Medical requires excellent project management skills, constant dedication to customer service and the development of strong relationships with clients, academics, and HCPs in the APAC region and globally.

Medical Writers specialise in the strategic planning and development of publications, which include abstracts, posters, oral presentations and manuscripts targeted at scientific journals and conferences. Analysts work across a variety of medical affairs projects and specialise in services such as advisory boards, and the development and multi-channel communication of educational scientific content for a wide range of audiences. • Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development. Our work is multidisciplinary, often beginning with evidence generation in the form of literature reviews, advisory boards with clinicians and payers, or economic modelling, to inform the development of materials that present an evidence-based account of the product’s value in a compelling and accessible manner.
  Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects. These include developing product value messages and materials (e.g. brochures, slidesets, white papers, etc.), building health economic tools and models, and developing dossiers for submission to HTA agencies. • Evidence Development: Evidence-based medicine is the cornerstone of medical decision-making. The work of our Evidence Development team encompasses literature reviews, synthesis and real-world evidence generation.
  
  Our literature review and synthesis projects involve the identification of clinical, economic and real-world evidence to support the value of a pharmaceutical product or medical device. Our work includes rigorous systematic literature reviews that our Statisticians often use to conduct meta-analyses and network meta-analyses, therefore Analysts in this team work together with our Statisticians to provide seamless scientific and technical support to our clients. We also work on more creative and pragmatic evidence reviews to inform clients’ strategic decisions with regard to clinical development or market access. You will gain a thorough understanding of how to conduct various kinds of evidence review from searching to interpretation of statistical results and ensuring that the reviews conform to industry guidelines where applicable. You will also be involved in writing up the methods and results of the reviews and statistical analyses into engaging reports, slide sets and often congress/journal publications.

The Role

This role is in the Middle Office (MO) team. The Associate, Health & Benefits – Placement Team will primarily be required to support Section Team Lead in placement activities with a focus on new business placement. • Develop detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.

Role purpose:

The on-site analyst role is to ensure the proper functioning of personal computing and office technology so that end users can most efficiently and effectively accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving customer requests and escalations from the Global Service Desk. Problem resolution will involve the use of incident management tools, as well as hands-on support at the on-site level.

Responsibilities:

· Perform hands-on fixes, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, managing mobile devices, implementing file backups, and configuring applications.

· Owns and drives issues to resolution including escalation to specialized resources within the broader IT organization. Remains engaged on issues until resolution.

· Provide Tier 2 technical support for client facilities such as video conferencing and audio conferencing services.

· Lead, coordinate and participate in improvements as they relate to the on-site IT environment.

· Serves as an advocate for the organization’s information security management system. Assists customers to work efficiently within the ISMS framework.

· Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

· Perform post-resolution follow-ups to customer requests.

· Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent future problems.

· Field incoming requests from customers via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.

· Build rapport with customers.

· Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.

· Prioritise and escalate problems (when required).

· Record, track, and document problem-solving processes, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

· Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.

· Understands the essential responsibilities of the position and works to continuously to build and improve the skills necessary to be proficient in the role.

· Serves as a back up to the IT Support Technician as appropriate.

· Serves as lead Audio Visual SME for live meetings and events held onsite or at remote locations as requested.

· Supports operates and maintains AV equipment for live meetings and events.

· Provides support and demonstrates expert knowledge for online webinar tools and applications.

· Acts as backup trainer when requested.

Senior Health & Benefits Consulting Analyst

We will count on you to:

• Assists the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering, and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheets to be used for various client projects. Involves increased focus on analysis of results and managing portions of projects; reviews the work of junior analysts.
• Gathers utilization or rate data from the vendors via a Request for Proposal (RFP); interpret the meaning of the data and summarize the responses from the RFP in Excel or PowerPoint format for presentation to the client.
• Develops cost projections and evaluation of vendor renewal workups; results are used as part of client meetings.
• Demonstrates project management and consulting skills such as managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables; helps to develop budget and billing reports; participates in calls and meetings as appropriate; assists with the preparation and delivery of clear and concise communications and resolves most claim issues but can escalate more complex issues to senior consultants as needed.
• Gathers design data from the client and current vendors needed for analyzing the impact of a client's consolidation and/or marketing of its healthcare plans; typically involves organizing plan design details and costs in Excel for further analysis by the team; responsibilities also include checking data for reasonableness and follow-up with vendors regarding missing or inaccurate data.
• Learns the basics of products, services, and tools - gain an understanding of vendor/carrier markets, basic underwriting and financial skills, products, services and technical tools, and intranet resources and participates in training courses, online learning, or through learning from more experienced colleagues.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years of Regional Client Management experience, preferably from Health and Benefit insurance or Employee Benefits business.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including senior stakeholders with confidence and professionalism.
• Ability to work at a fast pace, both independently and in a team environment
• Capacity to manage competing priorities with strong time management skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
