Job Description

The Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) is a population-based health research initiative at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. SPHS aims to investigate the interactions between lifestyle, physiological, genetic and other omics biomarkers and their impact on health and longevity. In addition, SPHS will serve as a platform to monitor risk factors in the population and gain insight into determinants of health-related behaviours. For this purpose, SPHS includes over 50,000 adult Singaporeans and long-term residents from three major ethnic groups (Chinese, Malay, and Indian), for a better understanding of disease aetiology in urban Asian settings, and the development of improved preventive and therapeutic measures for Singapore and other Asian populations.

JOB PURPOSE
This role primarily involves the recruitment and data collection activities of the public health research projects under the SPHS unit that will contribute towards the building of a population health biobank for Singapore.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Inviting target participants as defined above to take part in the relevant study by phone call or messaging;
2. Screening their eligibility for the study and making an appointment with them for the study procedures;
3. Provide logistical information for the interview and study site visit;
4. Manage participant flow at the study site visit and verify the participants' survey completion status;
5. Explaining the information in the study consent documents to the extent that the consent, if given, would be informed and voluntary;
6. Obtaining participants’ consent before beginning any study procedures;
7. Interview participants according to the e-questionnaire and entering the responses accurately to the e-questionnaire via a tablet;
8. Timely completion of interview and registration of participants for their study site visit procedures before the cut-off time;
9. Timely preparation of required material and equipment for the study site visits;
10. Organise work outputs to be handed over to the QC supervisor; and
11. Any other responsibilities as required by future research projects.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Post-secondary qualifications with a good command of spoken English and Malay/Tamil/Mandarin/Cantonese/Hokkien/Teochew (to conduct interview with health research participants in local ethnic languages)
• At least 2 years of customer-facing work experience.
• Work hours are: 7.30am to 5.15pm on Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri; 7.30am to 12.30pm on either Sat or Wed depending on operation days of the study site.
• Comfortable with using a tablet for data entry, retrieve and update records.

Job Description:

Overview

The Job Holder will support the Community Allied Health and Medical Planning Support (CAMP) unit under the Clinical Services and Governance Division (CSGD). The Job Holder will provide support for strategic allied health and medical manpower planning, coordination and administration matters to the Medical Lead and Allied Health Lead to ensure smooth delivery of Community Allied Health and Medical services, as well as an engaged workforce of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Doctors to drive integrated care in the community.

Accountabilities

(1) Strategic AHP and Medical Manpower Planning

· Manage annual financial work plan and budgeting exercise for required community medical and AHP manpower to support population-health based initiatives and programmes

· Provide support on long and short-term strategic manpower planning and conduct regular reviews with Medical Lead and Allied Health Lead

· Keep abreast of NUHS population health developments and identify opportunities/gaps/areas of collaboration in terms of community AHP and medical support where appropriate

(2) Professional matters and clinical quality management

· Coordinating with Medical Lead and Allied Health Lead on professional and development matters

· Support in the implementation of quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) initiatives

· Liaise with relevant stakeholders on allied health and medical-related workflows

(3) Manpower-related administration support

· Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and/or programme owners (e.g. Community Nursing, Community Operations, hospitals) to establish service agreements

· Support onboarding, administrative and disbursement matters relating to allied health and medical manpower purchase and coordination

· Manage and maintain list of RHSO allied health and medical manpower under the Community Care Team and Medical Director’s Office

· Planning and managing workforce engagement activities to understand AHP and medical resourcing/operational needs

· Provide secretariat and administrative support for related meetings as assigned. This includes minute taking, preparation of slides, record keeping etc.

Requirements:

Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. The Departments are seeking candidates to join our fellowship programmes as Clinical Fellows.

As a Clinical Fellow, you will undergo the approved training programme by the Singapore Medical Council.

•Active in clinical practice for 3 years preceding the application of medical registration with Singapore Medical Council;

•Possess basic medical degrees from an accredited medical university or its medical school, preferably with a postgraduate diploma or medical degree;

•Possess a 12-month of completed housemanship/internship postings;

•Possess a 3-year post housemanship/internship clinical experiences;

•Fulfil the English Proficiency requirements of Singapore Medical Council, if basic degree is not in English medium;

•Must be registered with the Medical Council or its relevant licensing authority from the country of practice;

•Must be sponsored by the government, or regional health authority or an appropriate institution (with a full-time employment of 40 hours or more per week) of the home country;

•Must be certified to be of a good standing by the Medical Council or its relevant licensing authority;

•Must be successfully registered with the Singapore Medical Council;

•Must be eligible for the relevant pass and Visa from the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore

Job Summary

M Diagnostics is a CAP- accredited clinical laboratory. We provide clinical services to our clients. The Medical Technologist will perform laboratory tests, assist in receiving, processing samples and carry out specialized investigation of patient samples. In addition, you will perform on-going quality control checks to ensure test results are precise and accurate. The role requires the individual to have a high level of attention to detail, be proactive and work well under pressure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• To prepare specimens and perform analysis of patient specimens according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Performing moderate to high complexity molecular-based tests.
• Maintain daily quality control, calibration and routine maintenance of lab testing and lab instrument.
• Verify the laboratory report with results on all performed tests and ensure accuracy and timely lab reporting.
• Periodically reviewing procedures and submitting recommended changes to supervisor.
• Participate in developmental work on new tests.
• Any other duties as assigned by Lab Manager or section head.
• Such other duties as the Company may reasonably assign to you.

Desired Skills and Competencies

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Science, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or its equivalent
• At least 1 year of molecular biology related work experience.

Job responsibilities:

What you’ll do as a Dental Assistant in Dental Clinic!

The main role of a Dental Assistant is to provide four-handed dentistry assistance to Dental Surgeon/Dental Officer/Oral Health Therapist. You will adhere to established infection control measures, procedures and protocols.

Provide administrative support in dental clinic operations if required (e.g. follow-up on laboratory cases, consumables ordering and distribution, managing clinic’s inventories and equipment maintenance).

You are required to help out in the decontamination and sterilisation of dental instruments at times. You will also participate in or support quality improvement activities within Dental Clinic. On-the-job training will be provided for candidates who do not have prior experience.

The Senior / Systems Analyst will work closely with service leads and business stakeholders to identify roadmap of Information Technology (IT) solutions and enhancements. The individual will be responsible in one of the specialties: technical support to Radiography Information System (RIS) or Laboratory Information system (LIS) in meeting business requirements. Staff with a keen aptitude in healthcare IT will be considered and appropriate training will be provided.

Main responsibilities:

• Work closely with Reporting Officer in the approval, acquisition and implementation of IT workplans.
• Oversee the planning and implementation and monitoring of new IT work processes, preparing correspondences for end users.
• Understand diagnostics needs and provide the required solutions
• Provide IT support and user access to various systems for ground users.
• Work with vendors and users to resolve LIS/RIS issues.
• Assist service leads/HOD in preparation of meeting slides.
• Ensure that the business-as-usual and in-scope IT systems are performing optimally, meeting SLAs and requirements of user stakeholders.

Qualification Required and Area of Discipline

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or other related technical disciplines.
• Degree or diploma holders of Radiography or Medical Laboratory Science with keen interest in IT are welcomed to apply
• Literacy in some Information technology disciplines such as fluency in Python and a systems language (Java, Scala, C++) and experience with Oracle database will be advantageous

Required Competencies and Capabilities

• Prior working experience in healthcare industry is preferred but not compulsory
• Preferably 1-3 (Analyst) or 3-5 (Senior Analyst) years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new specialized IT software tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment.
