Understanding the pharmaco/nutrico/toxicokinetic behaviour of drugs, chemicals and food ingredients is a fundamental step in assessing the efficacy and safety of these materials. It can be challenging to study such substances directly in human subjects, while animal models lack direct translatability to humans due to inherent differences in species biology. One promising strategy is the use of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling to predict the local tissue and systemic exposure of these substances. We have developed in-house in vitro and in silico tools to model chemical absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) in humans using data generated from in vitro assays. We apply these tools to predict pharmacokinetic profiles in different settings, ranging from oral or transdermal administration to studying special populations such as pregnant women, for a variety of substances including pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, environmental contaminants, essential micronutrients and microbial metabolites. These capabilities are further enhanced with state-of-the-art, enabling technologies such as the SHIME® intestinal digestion simulator and spatial mass spectrometry imaging.

The following tasks are expected of the candidate:

• Literature search to extract relevant ADME data for chemicals of interest
• Perform in vitro absorption, transporter, metabolism, fraction unbound and other related ADME assays
• Quantify membrane protein, metabolic enzyme and xenobiotic concentrations within biological samples using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) instruments
• Integrate appropriate in vitro and in silico data into PBPK models to predict the ADME of chemicals
• Develop new and/or improve features of in-house models, including pharmacodynamic modelling
• Write scientific grant proposals, maintain laboratory notebooks, prepare scientific reports, presentations and manuscripts
• Supervise and train students and interns

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Life Sciences or equivalent.

Overview*

The incumbent will support the Manager, NUHS Total Workplace Safety and Health (TWSH) Office, to drive high standards in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices and foster a strong WSH culture in NUHS. He/she will provide administrative WSH support at NUHS Group Level and Regional Health System Office Level.

Job Responsibilities*

Support Manager, NUHS TWSH Office to

• Implement NUHS-wide WSH initiatives, coordinate WSH efforts across NUHS, NUHS-wide policy alignment, promulgation of best practices across NUHS, any follow-up as required by Ministry of Manpower
• NUHS Total Workplace Safety and Health Oversight Committee Secretariat.
• Demonstrate that WSH is a priority for RHSO by publishing the WSH commitment, reviewing and tracking WSH targets and performance, allocating sufficient resources for WSH, promoting WSH proactively, and ensure that staff have the necessary knowledge on WSH

Requirements*

• Experience in the healthcare industry is an added advantage.
• Licensed and Registered MOM WSH Officer is an added advantage
• Well versed in WSH Act and requirements
• A team player who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) with the ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders
• Well-versed in MS Office and able to work under pressure

At least 2 years of working experience as a massage therapist in the foot and body spa industry.

Have passionate and self-motivated behaviour, presentable with positive attitude.

Provide excellent customer service, oversea daily operation and maintaining a high standard of hygiene enviroment and personnal presentation.

We are a medical supplies company, and we are in need of an abled warehouse operator.

The applicant is to pick the Medicines (usually in small boxes) from shelves using a scanner.

These picked medicines will then be passed on to the packers for delivery.

This is a very simple entry level job.

Minimum qualifying education requires GCE N-Level or equivalent.

ITE graduates, WSQ certifications are welcome.
