Responsibilities

Critical / Strategic Operations

• Assist to plan and drive Critical / Strategic operations at HQ.
• Assist to plan, drive and implement all required Diagnostic services for new and redeveloped polyclinics
• Assist the co-chairs of the Critical / Strategic Operations work groups to deliver the respective KPIs
• Coordinate and liaise with IT departments to operationalise the implementation of whole of business unit's initiatives, projects and work plans
• To ensure key performance indicators are met within the stipulated timeline.

Project Planning

• Developing project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Resource Management: Liaise on resources, including personnel, time, and budget, to ensure project success.
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

• Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant working experience preferably in healthcare sector, with strong operations management leadership including areas in performance monitoring, process improvement, project management and implementation.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a combination of operations management and project management. Experience in start-up of new healthcare facility will be most relevant
• Possess strong leadership and people management skills,

Patient Service Associates (PSA) provide frontline counter services to patients. PSA is to assist patients by checking patient’s service/order requirement, managing patient queues, handle basic enquiries (e.g. appointment booking) and to provide administrative support to medical technologists and radiographers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reception of all appointment and walk-in patients at the Diagnostics counters
• Ensure 2 patients’ identifiers (NRIC & Name) are verified for all patients when handling patient registration electronically (i.e. EPIC, LIS, RIS, POS, BSS.) and verifying tests ordered by doctors.
• Accurate appointment scheduling / booking and registration for eligible mammogram patients via Breast Screen Singapore (BSS) portal
• Registration of mammogram patients are done accurately via BSS portal, including updating of patient particulars such as mailing address and contact number.
• Relevant instructions are communicated effectively to patients prior to their procedures/tests, chaperon patients to changing or counselling room where applicable.
• Handle enquiries and provide prompt and courteous service delivery to internal and external customers.
• Responsible for payment collection when assigned to cashier duties and ensure tally of end-of day sales with cash settlement and other transaction records.
• Ensure Medisave Authorization Forms (MAF) are filled in accurately with patients’ endorsement and approval, and all Medisave transactions are captured accurately in EASIPOS
• Accurate application of promotions and discount vouchers appropriately and to validate its utilization via EASIPOS
• Support administrative function to centre in-charge including but not limited to dispatching of lab and x-ray reports, proper record and documentation of courier services.

Associate Medical Laboratory Technologists (AMLT) are responsible for the daily operations of the laboratory which include phlebotomy, electrocardiogram, spirometry and clinical laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations of the laboratory
• Perform all procedures in accordance with laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram (ECG) and spirometry in an accurate, efficient and professional way.
• Perform Point of Care Testing (e.g. Prothrombin Time, glucose) and clinical laboratory tests such as urinalysis (e.g. Urine FEME, dipstick, pregnancy), haematology (e.g. full blood count, peripheral blood film, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, prothrombin time), biochemistry (e.g. HbA1c, neonate bilirubin), microscopy examination (e.g. fungal smear, high vaginal swab) independently.
• Ensure specimen identification, processing and storage of test specimens are in consistent with good laboratory practices
• Perform and verify quality control for all analysers prior to patients sampling
• Use of Laboratory Information System (LIS) to perform functions such as result entry, result validation and tracking for outstanding tests
• Ensure all test results provided for clinicians are accurate and reliable
• Ensure analysers/equipment are functioning properly and are well maintained.
• Notify medical technologist/lab in charge when instrument malfunction and make arrangements with BME or instrument vendor to service the instrument
• Notify inventory person in charge when reagents and stocks supplies run low.
• Perform and record internal and external quality controls and calibrations. Troubleshoot outliers in accordance to work instructions.
• Ensure ‘critical value’ are reported to the relevant personnel within 30 minutes
• Ensure daily maintenance and QC records are up to date.
• Ensure compliance to hand hygiene, workplace safety, International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) and International Standardization of Organizations (ISO) and other applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements of the laboratory.
• Provide prompt and courteous service in person or over telecommunication to all external and internal customers (e.g patients, doctors, service providers, colleagues).
• Report adverse incidents and all workflow anomaly to supervisor
• Observe strict NUHS personal data protection act and observe internet/intranet cybersecurity guidelines.
• Perform other functions as delegated by supervisor and/or lead laboratory

Requirements

• Recognized Diploma in Biomedical Science, Clinical Laboratory Science or other relevant fields
• At least 1-3 years of experience in laboratory environment and/or relevant experience in phlebotomy preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate in vernacular languages are an added advantage
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
