Our client is a MNC civil contractor who are known for their large rail projects across the region. They have successfully expanded across APAC and have won some large civil projects in SIngapore, therefore seeking a Deputy E&M Tunnel Manager to lead.
The Deputy E&M Tunnel Manager supports the E&M Tunnel Manager in overseeing the electrical and mechanical aspects of tunnel construction and operation. This role ensures that all E&M systems within the tunnel meet project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements. The Deputy E&M Tunnel Manager coordinates with various teams, manages project schedules, and ensures timely delivery of all E&M systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Assist the E&M Tunnel Manager in planning and executing E&M activities within the tunnel project.
- Coordinate with construction, design, and procurement teams to ensure E&M requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ensure all E&M systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to E&M systems.
Team Coordination:
- Supervise and guide the E&M team, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular meetings to track progress and address any issues.
- Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all E&M activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of E&M systems, including designs, modifications, and maintenance.
- Report to senior management on project milestones and any critical issues.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities regarding E&M matters.
- Address any concerns or inquiries related to E&M systems from stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and expertise to other project teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in E&M systems, preferably in tunnel or infrastructure projects.
- Skills:Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are a plus.
