Overview

As Accounting Supervisor/Manager, you will supervise the accounting staff in the daily operations for AR, AP, GL, revenue & asset accounting. FP&A, and financial reporting.

This role is integral in the decision making of the department's day-to-day functions. You will also oversee calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. You will ensure records are in compliance with accounting policies & procedures of the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage, assign and evaluate the daily ops of the accounting team.
• Develop operational plans to achieve results and ensures alignment with the company goals and objectives.
• Goal-setting, execution and result measurements for the department to drive process improvements.
• Perform financial analysis & calculation.
• Prepare journal entries, statements, and accounting reports.
• Assist with monthly closing.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting information, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain and tidy up the general ledger accounts, and perform monthly reconciliation.
• Variance analysis for trends and budgeting.
• Oversee ERP system and provide feedback for system improvements.
• Responsible for the training & development of the staff.
• Ensure policies and procedures are SOX compliant, including coordinating requests for internal & external audit.
• Answer verbal and written inquiries, including resolving complaints.
• Assist with & coordinate special accounting projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (full set of accounts).
• Minimum 2 years of people management experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud would be an advantage.
• Background in Audit would be advantageous.
