We are looking for a HR Advisor (6 months contract) to join the team in Singapore. This role will be an integral member of the Human Resources team based in Singapore.
He/she is expected to provide impactful services and solutions in support of Singapore and Malaysia business as a direct point of contact, partners with client groups, managers, leaders, employees, and other HR COEs as needed. The primary focus is to partner with employees and leaders to understand and address root causes of HR issues, provides guidance to reduce organizational risk and resolve employee relations issues, ensure legal compliance, and supports a productive work environment.
The role will report to Head of HR Consulting, Asia (excluding Japan & India), and may have visibility to the projects and initiatives across Asia.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
- Partner with COEs to support the business on various HR activities (e.g., recruitment, benefits, local facilitation, development program, engagement activities)
- Advise managers through the onboarding process, conduct HR orientation for all new hires, and ensure all p-file documents and compliance requirements processes are completed and documented
- Provide support to internal clients across business units to help resolve employees’ immediate human resource needs
- Coordinate and ensure employee events achieve desired outcomes
- Work with HRSSU to manage system transactions, following workflow and documentation requirements
- Optimize use of HR systems and processes to support business needs
- Actively suggest process improvements that improve HR service quality or operational efficiencies
- Support HR Leadership and HR Business Partners to successfully deploy global or HR COE programs to Singapore
- Manage and support assigned projects from end to end
- Act as country expert on HR-related projects and initiatives, providing guidance on risk-related and routine consulting items
- Respond to client requests for a variety of HR services including benefits, HR policies, procedures and other HR related questions
- Respond to government surveys and requests for reports in a timely manner
- Support VP Human Resources APAC & TGI on administrative tasks
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
- University graduate with 1-3 years’ relevant working experience in HR
- Preferred experience in Financial Service industry
- High proficiency of MS Office applications: Word, Excel (including Pivot Table and vlookup), Powerpoint, Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- High level of personal and professional integrity to develop deep relationships
- Well-organized, detail-oriented and accurate
- Ability to work independently for day to day work
