GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The CRO division develops and oversees the global framework for risk identification, control, reporting, and management within the risk tolerance for the various business activities for Julius Baer, aiming at sustainable growth of the franchise. As a member of the CRO division, the incumbent is expected to abide by relevant principles and expectations as specified in the CRO Business Organisation Manual.
The Data Analyst supports the CRO division with data analysis and technology expertise - in developing and maintaining reporting capabilities, building automation solutions, and the implementation of data analytics initiatives / projects. The Data Analyst primarily supports BJBS Branch. However, in respect of Regional Asia projects and initiatives, the Data Analyst will also support BJB HK Branch. The incumbent has strong technical, organizational and project management skills and plays a key role in the development and implementation of the CRO analytics framework.
KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION
Roles & Responsibilities
· Support CRO in the development and delivery of data-based solutions, such as dashboards and trend / pattern analysis reports
· Use open-source technologies to innovate, automate and enhance business processes
· Support internal stakeholders across in project implementations and / or ad-hoc delivery of solutions to enhance risk management and identification, through application of business logic rules and advanced analytics models
· Assist in handling / performing ad-hoc issues relating to data and technology, and attending to related enquiries from regulators, auditors and Head Office
· Support in the collection and curation of large sets of structured and unstructured data from disparate sources for the application in analytic models
· Work closely with IT to ensure data quality, accuracy and completeness
Client Management (internal & external)
· Support local, regional, global and strategic CRO initiatives and contribute to all stages of projects for data analysis

Professional and Technical
· Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related subject preferred
· Beginner/intermediate programming knowledge in either SQL, R or Python
· Working knowledge in data visualization tool, such as, Tableau or Power BI a plus
