Job Summary:
The Technical Assistant is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to the engineering, field service, project, and workshop. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with project planning and execution, workshop planning and ensuring smooth operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to diagnose and solve technical problems.
- Scheduling field service technician involves creating an efficient plan to ensure that all service calls, maintenance tasks, urgent repair jobs are attended to in a timely manner.
Project Assistance:
- Assist in the planning and execution of technical projects.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, including reports, manuals and technical drawings.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
Workshop and Warehouse Assistance:
- Assist in setting up and arrange calibration of workshop equipment and tools.
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the machinery and tools.
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and ready for use.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines within workshop.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or issues.
General Support:
- Respond to technical queries and provide assistance to team member.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling and coordinating task.
- Prepare kick-off meeting (KOM) and creating presentations.
- Willing to travel as required to support off-site project, attend meeting or receive training.
- Accept and perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
Qualification:
- An engineering degree or diploma (e.g., mechanical, electrical) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a technical support or assistant role is advantageous.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Knowledge and/ or experience in industrial filtration or separation is added advantage.
- Experience with SAP, CRM is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office (word, excel, power point)
