Reporting to the Head of Data Centre, the incumbent will primarily be involved in the day-to-day operations of the NETS Data Centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data centre/ computer operations (batch processing, printing reports, systems backup, tape management, server reboots, facilities and infrastructure checks in the data centre)
• Pro-actively monitor the data centre systems’ uptime and connectivity to ensure system availability to prevent any down time, and coordinate problem resolution with vendor or second level support groups.
• To log and submit problem management record and assign to appropriate party
• Ensure physical security procedures are followed strictly
• Performs escorting of personnel to and fro the Data Centres for both Kim Chuan & Bedok

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec/ Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent
• Able to perform 24-hours rotational shifts (3 shifts)
• Strong initiative and able to work independently
• Good knowledge with Windows server / UNIX / AIX
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a Data Centre environment

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain, and manage network, operating systems, storage, and backup solutions.
• Collaborate on system development tasks, including design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for systems on a rotating schedule, implementing corrective measures to address production issues and reduce unplanned outages.
• Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure effective planning and execution.
• Coordinate with external parties and customers to resolve issues.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree In Computer Science, Computer Engineering , Information Technology or related field
• 3 - 5 years working experience
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including operating systems and networks
• Enthusiastic about new technologies and eager to learn new skills
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently
• Capable of managing stakeholder relationships
• Candidates with one or more of the following skills will have an advantage:Networking skills or CCNA certification
  Experience with VMware NSX
  Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere)

Manages and monitors all installed systems and IT infrastructure to be in line with SOP (standard operating procedure) in place.
• Defines customers’ needs and functionalities.
• Assists in the coordination of system related activities and evaluation of the implementation design.

Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• At least more than 2 years of experience in System administration, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based or windows server environments.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience with network devices (e.g. firewall, switch) and networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Experience with monitoring systems and shell / bash script for task automation is an added advantage.
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks is an added advantage
• Pro-active, resourceful, willing to learn and able to work independently as well as in a team
