Major Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare technical drawings in 2D/3D and details
• Provide complete set of drawings and advice the designers on any design conflicts
• Advise designers on structural feasibility of designs
• Coordinate with designers/projects on specific requirements for technical drawings
• Conduct revisions for technical drawings
• Conduct site measurement/take pictures on-site for technical drawing references
• Can be able to outstation on project site when necessary

Knowledge / Skill Requirements:

• Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Revit, Sketch up and knowledgeable in Photoshop and Rhino
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Good time-management abilities
• With good understanding/ knowledge on latest construction methodology

Education / Experience Requirements:

• Able to do technical hand sketches
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Reporting to the Design Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing technical 2D/3D drawings/layouts based on specifications of clients.

A Day in the Life

• Prepare detail drawings and formulate project design packages using CAD and 3D software
• Collaborate with Designers on specific requirements for technical drawings
• Prepare specifications, verify accuracy and completeness of drawings
• Anticipate problems in manufacturing, assembly, installation and operations
• Review progress on site and ultimately be responsible for design quality and experience
• Conduct design presentations to prospective buyers to convey design intent
• Perform any other adhoc duties

We are looking for

• Diploma in Interior Design, Product Design or Architecture
• 1-2 years of related working experience
• Excellent knowledge of design tools such as AutoCad, Sketchup, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, VRay and Photoshop
• Experience in retail store environments and design of retail fixtures is a plus
• Have a strong design sensibility and the technical ability to develop a project from concept to execution
• Knowledge and familiarity with metal, wood, glass and plastic fabrication is preferred
• Possess excellent design flair with an eye for details and self-motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work under pressure of meeting timelines
