The Centre for Remote Imaging, Sensing and Processing (CRISP) operates a high-tech satellite ground station at the National University of Singapore. The Centre operates multiple dish antennas that track, receive and process data from remote sensing satellites orbiting the planet and conducts active research programmes on optical, infrared and microwave remote sensing.

The networks at CRISP carry large volumes of time sensitive data from orbiting satellites across our distributed antenna sites. It is a key component in our antenna farm. The work of the Ground Station Network Engineer is to keep this data distribution layer healthy and thriving. Job Purpose

The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum.

Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry.

In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Professional Services
• Accountable for accurate dispensing of medicine to the right patient
• Monitor the activities of assigned pharmacy technicians engaged in the preparation, labelling and delivery of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions.

2. Inventory

• Assist in managing inventory to ensure an optimum level
• Approve orders of pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies and drugs.

3. Staff Training & Development
• Orientate and induct newly recruited pharmacy technicians/assistants.

4. Administration
Assist the Clinic Pharmacy Manager in the following:
• Maintain the administrative functions necessary for pharmacy operation.
• Adhere to and perform regular audit checks on the accounting, cash handling procedures and policies.
• Prepare the necessary reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Give regular feedback on improving processes and practices.
• Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventories and controlled drugs registries.
• Assist in scheduling manpower to ensure smooth daily workflow.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of the trading area, dispensary and storeroom.
• Ensure the merchandise is displayed according to set planograms.

Overview*
Reporting to the ENT Allied Health team lead, a Coordinator is an ancillary staff who is responsible to work in collaboration with Audiologists and Audio Technicians to provide assistance in clinical, administrative and technical duties, to ensure continuity of patient care in their aural rehabilitation process.

Job Responsibilities*
You will be responsible for the following:

1) Assist in clinic operational duties
Managing daily operations of the service points assigned including front counter services, administrative and operational matters of the community clinics.
Coordinate with other collaborators such as MOH, polyclinics, vendors and etc.
Liaise with third party for equipment maintenance and ordering of consumables
Requisite, control and maintain good utilization of consumables, hearing aid stocks and office supplies in community clinics.
Collate and update relevant data required for the purpose of cost management, financial budgeting and improvement.
Assist in scheduling of patients' appointment in NUH systems especially for hearing test, hearing aid services and special arrangement in community clinics.
Work with the MHC audiologists to ensure a positive experience for the patients along the continuum of care and devise innovative ideas to improve the delivery of care and delight patients.

2) Hearing Aid Assessment and Hearing Aid Serivces:
Obtain case history from patients and/or caregivers
Perform otoscopy, tympanometry and pure tone audiometry
Interpret audiometric results for patients, caregivers and healthcare professional involved.
Troubleshoot hearing aids and decide on the appropriate action.
Assist patients with hearing aid spare-part replacement.
Send the hearing aid to vendors for repair if necessary.
Conduct financial counselling on hearing aid cost, consultation charges and subsidies available.
Document the assessment, plans, and/or triage outcomes timely and accurately in the relevant system.
Maintain the database for all patients seen during clinic session.

3) Other general duties:
