General Overview

The incumbent will be a shared resource between the Strategy & Analytics and Sustainability teams, and is responsible for the monitoring of the energy market developments & trends; supporting the team in the execution of the corporate strategies and regular reporting to the Board and/or senior management team on KPIs performance and action items arising out of various strategic review and business planning activities. The incumbent is also responsible for conducting in-depth environmental, social, and governance (ESG) analyses and reporting, interpreting complex ESG data, identifying trends, and formulating actionable insights to enhance ESG performance. The incumbent will also collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

LNG Market Insights & Analysis

• Conduct research and monitor LNG market trends, business models for energy-related activities including new developments and regulatory requirements related to energy transition. Keep abreast with advances and innovation in the energy industry (e.g. technology and commercial practices) that are relevant to SLNG’s corporate vision.
• Coordinate, consolidate and integrate different sources of information for internal & external stakeholder communications.
• Work closely with internal functions and supports the leadership and management teams in developing regular summary on LNG market developments, news and insights and recommendations
• Support business analytics requirements for various business functions, including working with stakeholders to develop and/or enhance use of business analytics dashboards to guide decision-making processes.
• Manage subscriptions to newsletter, database, publications and recommend solutions to bridge data gap (if any).

Corporate Planning & Reporting

• Assist in the annual business planning processes and development of strategic plans, in support of SLNG’s business growth, sustainability & energy transition goals.
• Support planning and organisation of management retreats for offsite discussions
• Support development and alignment of corporate KPIs to strategic initiatives, and periodic reporting (e.g. monthly, quarterly) to the Board and/or senior management team on progress of work-plans & KPIs performance, analyse results and identify areas for improvement.
• Support implementation of performance management tool (e.g. electronic dashboards) to track and benchmark business performances (corporate strategy KPI and score cards)

ESG Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant information, insights, and feedback on ESG initiatives.
• Assist in developing communication materials to inform stakeholders about ESG initiatives and progress.

ESG Data Collection & Analysis

• Custodian and maintenance of ESG Performance Dashboard and Data Base
• Collect, track, and analyse ESG-related data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Interpret data trends and provide insights to support ESG strategy and reporting.
• Conduct benchmarking analyses to compare ESG performance with industry standards.
• Track carbon emissions and coordinate scenario analysis of emissions profile based on business projections.

ESG Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare ESG reports in accordance with recognized frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB-IFRS and UN SDGs.
• Ensure compliance with all local, regional and international ESG regulations.

• Collaborate with respective teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives that align with strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact, enhance social initiatives, and strengthen governance practices.
• Custodian and maintenance of SLNG Corporate Sustainability page
• Conduct, review and/ or participate in risk assessment on Sustainability and Climate Related Risks and Opportunities
• Conduct research on ESG trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, and provide updates and insights on emerging ESG issues.

Others

• Support and perform other duties and participate in the development and execution of projects/ initiatives as assigned
• Assist in organizing and conducting workshops, training sessions, and meetings.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in strategic or corporate planning and/or in ESG analysis, sustainability consulting, or a similar role within a corporate or consulting environment.
• Relevant ESG certifications preferred
• Engaging personality with good interpersonal and communication skills, has a curious mind that is able to learn independently and work well in team settings.
• Good stakeholder management and engagement skills who is comfortable interacting with leadership and management teams.
• Good conceptual and analytical skills with an aptitude towards problem-solving and able to organise information in a logical and systematic manner. Meticulous and detailed in processes and procedures.
• Strong writing and presentation abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office applications. Experience in data analysis and use of Power BI or other data visualization tools will be advantageous.

General Overview

1. The incumbent will lead a team to execute Singapore LNG capital projects, from the establishment of contract strategy, through tendering for and management of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts to handover of the completed projects to the SLNG Operations team.
2. This position requires a candidate who has the necessary project management experience to manage the delivery of major EPC projects, preferably in the Oil and Gas industries.
3. The incumbent will lead a multi-discipline project management team having overall responsibility as the Owner’s representative during the engineering, procurement and construction of all projects.
4. Experiences in onshore/offshore LNG Terminal, FSRU and Regasification project are preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Single point accountability for delivery of the assigned projects.
2. As Owner’s representative, managing all contractors to ensure projects are executed in line with the SLNG and contract HSSE, quality, technical integrity, operability, cost and schedule objectives, including initiating and enforcing any corrective measures to improve performance.
3. Maintaining and delivering the highest standards of safety and environmental performance both in design and construction in alignment with SLNG policy and expectations.
4. Ensuring that projects comply with all applicable laws, regulations, codes and standards.
5. Approving, monitoring and controlling contractor execution of quality assurance and control plans and procedures.
6. Establishing, maintaining and ensuring use of appropriate project controls and metrics for recording and reporting project progress and cost performance.
7. Providing accurate and comprehensive project progress reports in written form to SLNG management and presenting project status to senior management and board members.
8. Managing all interfaces between the EPC contractor and other relevant stakeholders, particularly the Operations team and third parties, including other contractors, utility providers, government authorities, neighbors, consultants etc.
9. Proactive identification, mitigation and management of all project technical, cost and schedule and reputational risks.
10. Developing appropriate resourcing plans for Owner’s management of all projects and recruiting/acquiring or demobilizing as necessary all required resources.
11. Managing and coordinating all activities of the Owner’s project management team.
12. Providing leadership, coaching and development of all reports.
13. Establishing and maintaining a positive, proactive working environment that encourages team working in a spirit of openness, honesty and integrity.

Work Experiences

1. He/she must have a minimum of 15 years project and construction experience, and five years experience as project manager for the execution of substantial ($>250 million) projects, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry;

Roles and Responsiblities

The candidate shall be responsible for but not be limited to the following duties and responsibilities.

1. Develop an ‘all round’ understanding of the SLNG business model and the roles / responsibilities of the various business groups that are tasked with achieving excellent business performance and deliver operational effectiveness.
2. Liaise with all business groups and external stakeholders to build an understanding of the key IT applications and systems to provide technical, commercial and financial business solutions to fully support the efficient delivery and implementation of business processes into SLNG.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications to meet commercial obligations of the company.
4. Provide recommendations based on analysis and insights to drive process improvements, cost reduction, and system / application enhancement.
5. Collaborate with internal Information Systems team and manage external service providers engaged by SLNG to develop, procure and implement the business processes and IT applications and systems that will be required by SLNG for the effective management of SLNG’s business.
6. Contribute to the deployment of the business processes, IT applications and systems within SLNG and provide familiarization training, as required.
7. Regularly monitor the IT application and systems effectiveness in meeting end user requirements and manage any changes required.
8. Follow up with external service providers on any defects raised and track these to closure.

Work Experience

1. Candidates with 5 - 7 years in IT system implementation and support experience including exposure to Quorum’s Energy Components, SAP Finance modules will be required.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (essentially Word, Excel and Power point)
3. Active learner and ‘detail-oriented’ professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
4. Ability to quickly develop an in-depth working knowledge of the range of SLNG business activities.
