11. Set priorities, allocate tasks, and to meet project targets and milestones, ensure smooth authority submission
12. Solve technical issues such as drawing discrepancies, site condition changes, verify plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy, raise RFI when necessary
13. Ensure accuracy of setting out, levelling and site surveying and all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
14. Liaising with project consultants, architect, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
15. Support Project manager to liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
16. Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
17. Overseeing quality control and assist safety department to achieve health and safety target on site
18. Preparing method statement, daily weekly and monthly report
19. Ensuring all site inspection and record as per client/developer requirement
20. Ensuring all testing and quantity inspection are carried out as per contract requirement
21. Analyze and resolve engineering problems and demonstrate effective skills in oral and written communication

Requirements

Min 5 years experiences in civil, infrastructure projects

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, PE board recognized

The NTU Centre in Computational Technologies for Finance is a newly created pan-university centre in NTU to coordinate and support NTU’s initiatives, activities and programs in Blockchain.

The centre is co-managed by CoE and NBS, and is looking to fill a Project Officer position.

Key Responsibilities:

The emphasis of this role will be to provide effective and efficient project management on research projects in the area of digitalization and blockchain. The project officer will also be expected to provide research support in terms of the following:

• Conduct literature review, scan and synthesize scholarly and academic research articles, prepare case studies, technical reports and research papers
• Implement the data collection including the conduct of interviews, design and administration of surveys and computerized testing tools
• Enter, clean and analyze the collected data, and conduct basic statistical data analyses.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Psychology, Sociology, Information Systems, or related disciplines (e.g., Social Sciences)
• Exemplary oral and written skills
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable with fundamental IT skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple project deadlines
