Working Hours: 5 Days Work Week, Mon to Fri (8.30am to 5.30pm)

Job Description:

Report to the Project Director / Manager in Charged of the WTW system.

• Provide technical expertise to oversee the design, development and construction of the WTW system.
• Interface with WTW system designer, vendors, fabricators including drawings reviews, sourcing equipment, cost control and monitoring, schedule monitoring and update.
• Oversee project implementation according to the requirements and objectives. This includes schedule monitoring, vendors sourcing and recommendation, purchase/ cost evaluation, resources allocation, attend to inquiries, clarifying technical details, supervising project execution, implementing corrective actions, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests, and finalizing as-built documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in deck machinery using technical manuals, hand tools, and power tools.
• Meticulously maintain records of all changes, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Develop operating, maintenance and safety procedures for the WTW system.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechatronic or equivalent
• Min 5 years working experience in Marine Industry or shipyard environment.
• Good understanding of deck machinery such as winch, crane, lifting and handling equipment and the related IACS (particular ABS, DNV, BV) rules and regulations.
• Specific experience in WTW system (Offshore Passenger Transfer System) is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulic and electrical system and P&ID with ability to perform trouble shooting.
• Ability to speak both English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients
• Software – able to use MS Office, MS Powerpoint, MS Project, Adobe and AUTOCAD. Ability to use Primavera scheduling software is highly advantageous
• Good understanding of Document Control. Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 QAM system is highly advantageous
• The candidate must be willing to travel and work in marine and offshore environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager on project documentation, system entries and ensuring compliance to project management process and best practices.
• Lead and maintain project management systems and tools
• Ensure compliance of project information and documentation in grant and project management systems.
• Consolidate and analyze project data and create project dashboards and reports
• Track and monitor project health
• Support other operational activities of the Project Management Office as required
• Responsible for managing the life cycle R&D projects and product delivery by planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating from conception to completion
• Ensure successful delivery of project scope and targets while managing project risk, quality, delivery, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate and motivate project team members in the design, development, and delivery of R&D solutions to customers.
• Drive design / process validation testing and ensure compliance to project lifecycle governance requirements
• Ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding of technical/engineering processes in managing the project development with the project teams
• Lead, monitor and report the progress of a few projects to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and implement project changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables and mitigate risk.

Job Requirements

• Min. Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Have some knowledge in project management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft excel and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for presentation of information in a logical approach

Qualification & Requirements

- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulic and electrical system and P&ID with ability to perform trouble shooting. - Strong leadership with problem-solving skills. Added advantage with understanding in structural design.

- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with all team members at all levels.

- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members, vendors, fabricator and clients.

- Ability to produce written report and presentation.

– able to use MS Office, MS Powerpoint, MS Project, Adobe and AUTOCAD. Ability to use Primavera scheduling software an added advantage.

- Good understanding of Document Control. Added advantage with knowledge of ISO9001:2015 QAM system
