· Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications

· Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards & contractual specifications.

· Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel

· Ensuring environmental, safety and health practices are carried out at all times.

· Perform other duties / tasks as assigned by immediate superior or Head of department.

Requirements

· Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by PE Board/ BCA

· Min. 1 year work experience in Civil Engineering projects

· Proficient in MS Office

· Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others

· Organised, meticulous with positive work attitude

· Able to work independently and a team player

• Co-ordinate, program and monitor site work, material and workforce
• Attend site meeting and resolve technical issue with main contractor or consultant
• Implementation of Cost, Quality, Productivity, Safety and Health control on site

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposal, costing and plans coordinate with management for project execution.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project director & managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates.
• Conduct site survey to verify site installations and as-built documents when necessary.
• Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirement and sequencing project elements
• Support on company’s tendering activities actively to bring in new sales

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids.

2. Coordinate with various Government agencies and utility authorities for initial site clearance and set up site office

3. Report on daily issues to Project Manager / Construction Manager

4. Plan, schedule and monitor work progress at site

5. Continuously ensure adherence to planned timeliness

6. Maintain and monitor quality controls

7. Prepare and submit all daily and weekly reports as required

8. Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented on work site

9. Prepare method statements and other submission

10. Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work

11. Liaising with consultants and/ subcontractors engaged in the project

12. Supervising and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of subcontractors

13. Overseeing quality control and safety matters on site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to

14. Preparing complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.

15. Accountable for receiving approved submittals from and notifying the Project Manager of potential schedule impact.

16. Assist Project Manager by preparing all necessary backups relating to change requests.

17. Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Include any accepted alternates or addendums with documents.

18. Schedule all required construction meetings with required personnel subcontractors, architects and owners

19. Prepare correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Examples of referenced correspondence include, but not confined to the following items: Schedule of values, project schedule, memos, request for information (RFI), transmittals and submittals.

20. During Construction Phase, proactively manage project to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety.

21. Utilize and maintain tools: schedule and document management to track and record project performance.

22. Planning work to ensure that materials, machineries, authorities’ approval and sites condition are ready before the work starts.

23. Coordinating with authorities, clients to ensure efficient and timely delivery of assignment

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with subcon to plan, arrange and carry out construction activities.
• Liaise with design department to confirm and clarify design issues.
• Liaise with RE/RTO to carry out inspections.
• Monitor expenses, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure quality of work done conform to specifications.
• Able to coordinate well with MEP department.
• Liaise with Shop drawing team and understand CBP and other shop drawing for Quality.
• Liaise with Safety team to maintain temporary facility and prevent unsafe work.
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned.
• Develop and manage project schedules.
• Coordinate daily activities, set priorities, and allocate.
• Implement site safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Willing to travel to different project site if required.
• Must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays.

Requirements:

1. Min Diploma in Civil/ Structural Engineering or equivalent

2. Min 3 years working experience in construction

3. Software knowledge: CAD, MS Project

4. Able to work independently, proactive and self-motivated

5. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
