(A) Job Summary:
Reporting to the Project Director, the Manager (Project) plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the Project managers in all phases of the construction project(s) to ensure that specifications are being followed and that all works are proceeding on schedule and within budget. He oversees the overall performance and operation of the Contract Admin, Safety and After Service functions.
(B) Essential Job Functions:
The Manager (Project) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
· Leads and sets the standards on the delivery of the services of the Project Department and Project Sites.
· Provides Management oversight on the overall activities of the Contract Admin, Safety and After Service functions
· Manages the Engineers in all matters relating to the execution of the project.
· Acts as a liaison to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Safety
· Acts as the Management Representative for the company’s workplace health and safety.
· Reviews and ensure compliance of Workplace Safety and Health requirements in the Project.
· Reviews risk assessments on safety issues.
· Reviews remedial actions in cases of any incidents/ accidents/ industrial diseases.
After Service
· Oversees any after-sales issues such as defects or maintenance works after the handling over of the building or project to the clients.
Project
· Liaise with clients, relevant authorities, and consultants in the final decision-making phase of issues related to the Project.
· Oversees and is responsible for the effective execution of the Project.
· Maintain oversight on the Project budget and cash flows.
(C) Minimum Qualifications / Job Experience:
· A Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction management or related field
· Proven track record in leadership and management skill as well as financial budgeting and management capabilities.
(D) Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Possess good management and leadership qualities
· Excellent knowledge of the outlook of the building and construction industry.
· Strong network of suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
· Familiar with current industrial requirements and regulations.
· Ability to influence various stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Ability to analyse and synthesize issues quickly.
· Willing to work at Site office
