• Prepare workstations at the start of processing & clean and reinstate workstations after processing.
• Handle frozen/chilled fish/seafood processing by types of equipment with various components including processing (cutting, trimming, deboning & deskinning etc), packing (vacuum packing & strapping etc ) and storing of products.

The Production Assistant will support the daily operations in the frozen fish processing facility. This role involves assisting in the preparation, processing, packaging, and storage of fish products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, and committed to maintaining high standards of product quality and safety.

Job Description

1. Production Support:

• Assist in planning and executing daily production activities to meet targets.
• Monitor processes and workflow to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards and schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues on the production floor.

2. Maintenance and Repairs:

• Plan for routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery.
• Plan for repairs and replacements of faulty components, as needed
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

3. Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with relevant teams on improvement projects and monitor changes in production processes
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to streamline production operations, and monitor changes in production processes to ensure optimal performance.

4. Quality Control:

• Ensure the product processing process meets company quality standards through regular inspections and tests, and address quality issues promptly when necessary.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintained accurate production logs of production processes, equipment maintenance, and repair activities.
• Document process changes and updates in production procedures.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and project documentation, as required

6. Collaboration:

• Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate production activities and address cross-functional issues.

7. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the production area.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Assist in training staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.

Requirement:

1. Minimum Diploma and above.
2. Willingness to work in a cold/wet environment and use of protective clothing and equipment is required.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
4. Proficiency in using computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).

Job Description:

1. Provide administrative support to the Operations/Production Department.
2. Maintain records of transactions and processing of the product's status according to compliance requirements
3. Perform adjustments to correct pre-processing and processing errors in accordance with established procedures.
4. Accurately maintain/update Daily Processing Reports (DPR) and Tally sheets, including production quantities, materials used, and production stages.
5. Accurately record and track inventory levels for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials in the cold store.
6. Perform data entry tasks to input production and inventory information into databases or electronic systems.
7. Verify the accuracy of data entries and cross-check information with supporting documents.
8. Collaborate with production and store teams to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to production records or inventory levels.

10. Manage consumables stock-level inventories to buffer stock to facilitate smooth production operations.

Job Description:

A. Reporting and Data Management:

1. a. Accurately maintain and update daily Production WIP stock inventory, packaging materials inventory, and Production tally sheets.
2. Verify the accuracy of data entries and cross-check information with supporting documents.
3. Collaborate with relevant teams to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to production records or inventory levels.
4. Generate reports, summaries, and analyses of production and inventory data as required for manager review.
5. Provide monthly packaging materials reports and inventory reports to the finance department on the first working day of the following month.
6. Maintain records for annual mandatory packaging material reporting submission.
7. Compile customers' orders Tally Sheet or Report for Logistics/QA.

B. Packaging and Consumable Inventory Management:

1. Monitor and manage the inventory of consumables items and packaging materials used in day-to-day operations.
2. Conduct regular audits to assess packaging quality and compliance.
3. Source and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of consumables items and packaging material inventory, as instructed by the Production Manager. All purchases are to be authorised by the immediate Superior.
4. Implement efficient tracking systems to monitor consumption and reorder levels.
5. Collaborate with various departments to understand and forecast consumable and packaging material needs.

C. Store Organization and Management:

1. Assist in ensuring the store organizes and maintains an orderly storage facility.
2. Implement efficient storage systems to optimize space and accessibility.
3. Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
4. Ensure stores and materials are handled following FSMS standards.

D. Label Printing and Design:

1. Assist with the printing of labels for products and shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
2. Collaborate with relevant teams on design and update label templates as required.

E. Ad-hoc Support Duties:

1. Provide comprehensive support to the Operations/Production/QA Department.
2. Maintain records of transactions and processing according to compliance requirements.
