• Handle the Precast Concrete Production in the factory.
• Understand the design drawings and production drawings and conduct quality check.
• Liaise with all the relevant parties for production and inspection of the factory.
• Manage the Suppliers and Contractors to rectify if there are any defects prior to delivery to site.

Regional role to drive enhancement of factory in APAC and designated area as requested by head office (MID, Japan) As a team member of Manufacturing Innovation Centre, to analyze factory's operation and find gaps in their processes.

Key duties include: -

1. Enhancement of production operation (Industrial engineering, site survey, factory diagnosis & implement activities including digitalization of factory/processes).
2. Drive digital transformation roadmap with digitalization use cases, IT Infrastructure, Data connectivity, leveraging technologies like smart / flexible automation, paperless manufacturing, BI tools, AR / VR, Big data analytics.
3. Support product cost working group, assure parts quality, thru’ enhancement of production cost structure, product planning & development process. (Cost ITAKONA WG collaboration)
4. Organize & conduct training/seminar as part of our team effort towards digital transformation and enhancement of factory activity.
5. Some level of administrative work required as part of MIC operation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field will be appropriate. Diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years’ experience in factory enhancement activities and digital transformation.
• Able to understand product development process, manufacturing process, digital transformation (including understanding of Big Data Analytics, AI etc.)
• Good IT knowledge and experience in OT environment (manufacturing).
• Individuals with experience of programming languages like Python, Java, C++, or SQL will be an added advantage.
• A team player, self-motivated, innovative & agile. Possesses critical thinking abilities in order to improve application performance and resolve technical issues.
• An individual, with honest work ethics and excellent communication skills to provide a superior users engagement.
• Able to travel overseas frequently within APAC and occasionally outside APAC; e.g. India, China, Europe, etc.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Drive optimization of plant capacity, equipment uptime and yield by safe, disciplined & cost-effective operations.
• Provide facilitative leadership and technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit to assist operators in resolving performance gaps vs. production plan.
• Optimize equipment maintenance and/or plant turnaround based on business requirements and/or production schedule.
• Review and reduce energy consumption through implementation of programs, initiatives and projects in the process and utility areas.
• Drive the development and enhancement of the skills of shift team technicians.
• Promote quality culture and drive work discipline in day and shift team operations.
• Participate in review of process and operations (through process safety management) to enhance process safety.
• Develop and lead data-driven productivity initiatives.
• Work with Reliability Engineers in identification of root cause for equipment failure and development of long-term resolutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in technical/operations function in petrochemical/chemical manufacturing.
• Those without experience but are interested in Chemical Engineering are encouraged to apply.

Job Description

• Partner with the Global Operations (GOPS) team (Manufacturing, Production Planning, Procurement, and Quality Engineering) with emphasis on manufacturing processes, cycle time, assembly sequence, and quality.
• Provide first line engineering support in resolving daily operation issues in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, through collaboration with a team of multidisciplined manufacturing engineers, manufacturing supervisors and technicians.
• Achieve daily targets on product delivery to global customers in alignment with manufacturing engineering strategies, production schedules, quality and safety standards.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and deviations, provide immediate containment actions, and pursue long term corrective solutions.
• Define and create manufacturing procedures, build sequence, methods, and quality documentation (i.e. work instructions, test procedures, inspection checklists, etc.) according to material and assembly specifications.
• Drive timely solutions for the suppliers, contract manufacturing, and internal manufacturing by liaising with cross functional teams in GOPS and Business Units (BU).
• Lead the execution of continuous improvement projects on quality, cost, capacity, and efficiency enhancement with cross functional teams in GOPS and BU.
• Deliver tooling and test equipment according to product requirements, with innovations in meeting manufacturing efficiency and customer quality.

Prerequisities

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment with hands-on engagement on manufacturing and productivity activities.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Materials/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience within the Semiconductor/Capital Equipment industry in Manufacturing, Quality and/or engineering roles in equipment assembly and test
• Knowledge on material fabrication processes, component installation, sub-assembly and final assembly integration, preferably for CVD/ALD/Epitaxy equipment
• Understanding on Bill of Material structure (Product structure, Generic vs. Customization, Options and Kits) and revision changes
• Experience in working and interfacing with cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional organization and drive changes.
• Familiar with the following operational excellence tools but not limited to: Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, 6-sigma, Cpk, GR&R and SPC.
• Experience in New Product Introduction or technology transfer
• Experience with SAP ERP systems and processes at user level
