The primary purpose of the Sr Engineer, Product Design (IO) is to lead the design of BiPass solution connector products for major data center companies. This includes developing modifications to CBSU products and manufacturing processes, implementing products through customer qualification tests, and completing projects according to internal product development procedures and ISO/QS requirements.

Our Team

The Sr Engineer, Product Design (IO) is part of the Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division (DSS) and reports to the Sr Manager, Product Development Engineering. The role involves regular interaction with internal teams such as peers, field sales, and production facilities, as well as external customers and suppliers, often handling complex, sensitive, and confidential technical matters.

What You Will Do

• Develop new mechanical products of connectors. Support interface of Molex products to customer and partner company systems.
• Lead new product development efforts executing Product Development Phase Gate Process from development of the product concept through volume production while adhering to project schedule Design includes all aspects of product development such as: 3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, engineering changes, technical documents, etc.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to develop manufacturing processes utilizing the latest 3D CAD modeling techniques and other Design for Manufacturability (DFM) tools.
• Use risk reduction tools to perform TA, FEA, model simulation etc. for design analysis is expected. Utilize a working knowledge of material costs and manufacturing processes to determine the impact on various design attributes. Provides input to the DFMEA analysis of the product as required.
• Performs design validation activities to ensure that design meets the specifications of the customer, UL requirements, and reliability testing.
• Provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and inside product marketing personnel.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years of product design experience in electronic products.
• Experience with Product Development Process (PDP).
• Understanding of Tolerance Analysis, DFMEA, and FEA.

Job Objectives

As part of Digital bank L3 support team, we are looking for senior developers who have good knowledge in J2EE development.

Key Responsibilities

· As a Level 3 Production Support Developer need to Investigate production incidents for root cause; fix defects raised in production environment and support development for CRs.

· Update Jira, Confluence with change details

· Coordinate with peer developers, Platform team to get solution reviewed, code reviewed

· Coordinate with testing team to ensure defects are addressed on priority.

· Participate in daily defect triage meetings, Code handover sessions and other Agile ceremonies.

· Ensure code merged on regular basis to git.

· Take end-to-end ownership on production defect fixing until released to production.

Interface with the development teams, business teams, Level 2 teams, Shared services teams and other teams to achieve desired results.

Key Requirements

· At least 10 years of JEE development experience

· Hands on technologist with immense interest in trying out new architectures, frameworks, programming languages or concepts.

· Experience in development of Microservices using Spring boot

· Exposure to following:

o Apache Camel integration framework, XML, SOA Architecture, Object Design and Modeling, DevOps (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Sonarcube, etc.), Axway API gateway, Intellij

· Experience with using RDBMS (Oracle / Maria DB / SQL Server) and at least one of NoSQL (Mongo) database.

· Implementation knowledge of design patterns, Transaction handling and Oops concepts

· Experience in developing with testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito.

· Hands on experience on shell scripts and proficiency in using Linux/bash shell.

· Understanding of Continuous build and Integration methodologies.

· Experience in integrating and using wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services

· Go getter attitude in getting things done with minimal supervision

· Able to work extended hours and over weekends to support Prod releases / investigation of Incidents

· Experience in Kotlin / Android development is a Plus

· Experience working in a L4 preferable.

Note:

Banking and financial services experience / working in large implementation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central technical resource / interface with design engineering, manufacturing, technical support, quality, marketing and field as the product(s) move through the Product Life Cycle
• Work to optimize serviceability, reduce cost-of-service through all stages of the PLC, and improve short- and long-term product service revenue performance
• Drive continuous improvement of system hardware, diagnostics and software, tooling, technical documentation, knowledge management, and training
• Influence early PLC designs to include features that will optimize KLA’s service business: calibrations and diagnostics, Cost of Service (CoS), reliability, design tolerances, Intellectual Property (IP) protection
• Participate in difficult beta and sustaining escalation efforts, analyze data from various sources, and work with divisional experts to provide a detailed action plan suitable for execution by Customer Service Engineer (CSE) and Technical Support Engineer (TSE)
• Leverage learning and knowledge across the Technical Support organization through training classes, scripts, coaching, documents and updating other knowledge capture tools
• Work with Learning and Knowledge Services (LKS) to determine the training requirements for new products and/or upgrades. Train the trainer and teach or co-teach initial courses. Audit service training courses to ensure their quality.
• Help to define a plan, implement and optimize the spare parts that will be stocked to support field shipments. This includes taking into account reliability, diagnostics, inventory holding cost, training level and other factors
• Perform hands-on work for integration of Alpha/Beta systems, including performing serviceability validation.
• Travel to Beta sites for support of new tool installations/upgrades, and for escalation support for new products. Travel can be up to 20%.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Level Degree or above in electrical/electronic/mechanical/optics engineering.
• Hands-on and system level troubleshooting experience in semiconductor industry are required.
• Must be able to work with wide variety of technologies, including mechanics, electronics, optics and software.
• Organized, detailed, productive, consistent, team player.
• Strong analytic and data analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Tech Support, Product Engineer, NPI, Manufactory Design Engineer, Design Engineer is a plus.
• Experience with KLA products is a plus.
• Experience with Reliability Engineering is a plus.
• Software knowledge in Python, Visual Basic is a plus

Responsibilities

· Successful completion of delegated work packages or products in line.

· Responsible in preparation of product documentation (User manual, Datasheets, Procedures etc)

· Take decisions on Technical matters

· To mentor and advise field engineers on technical matters

· Collaborate with technical team, and work with vendors.

· Setup and perform Product Validation Test to qualify products developed.

· Ensures proper record keeping of all test data and test report

· Ensures that products meet compliance regulations.

· Support project engineer for new project testing

· Support field installation work (if required)

Qualifications / Requirements

· Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Engineering or relevant

· Basic understanding of engineering principles

· Good communication skills

· Good team player with the ability to work with people from different level

· Knowledge on software programming languages such as C/C++/Python/Java will be an advantage

· Training will be provided

• Support component selection, engineering evaluation, and testing of parts and sub-modules for vision inspection equipment.
• Develop electrical parts and sub-modules for vision inspection equipment.
• Update product design documents, drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials).

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in CAD software for electrical and schematic design, as well as PC hardware, Windows OS, and software.
• Knowledge in PCB/PCBA design, fabrication, and testing processes is an added advantage.
