Responsibilities:

• Lead a group of Production Technicians in the safe and smooth running of the production.
• Assist the Process Engineer to conduct activities and projects to optimize operation during Shift to achieve operational and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot plant/equipment/quality issues and recommend countermeasures.
• Monitor and ensure plant equipment integrity and reliability.
• Assist the Process Engineer to support Shift operation by providing suitable operating conditions for stable plant operation and product quality control.
• Train and develop team members

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or its equivalent, preferably with 1 to 2 years of experience in petroleum, chemical or polymer industries.
• Have knowledge of process control and troubleshooting, hands on knowledge of plant equipment and instrumentation.
• Essential prerequisites include good analytical and technical report writing skills, ability to be a team player with leadership, initiative, drive & commitment, able to take pressure and able to communicate well with others.
• This is a shift work position (i.e. Rotating AM and PM shifts, including weekends and Public Holiday) and there will be scheduled off days

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the studios are in order, including studio set, equipment to ensure a smooth production of the News & Current Affairs programmes for CNA and all news bulletins transmission on Mediacorp channels.
  
  
• Assist Automation Directors on all responsibilities for the execution of daily news bulletins and current affairs programmes for both automated and traditional galleries.
  
  
• Liaise with Producers, Automation Directors and Graphic Designers to meet technical and operational requirements during live transmission and ensure that editorial intentions are met, with the highest production standards maintained.
  
  
• The incumbent will also be equipped with the right skills required for new and developing tools to deliver high quality production.

• Minimum a Nitec/ Higher Nitec in Video Production/ Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Audio Engineering or its equivalent
  
  
• Detail-oriented and be able to multi-task.
  
  
• Effective communicator and a good team player.
  
  
• Good organizational and project management skills are necessary.
  
  
• Shift work required to accommodate the production requirements. Must be willing to work nights, on irregular shift including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and assign daily work schedule for technicians.
• Train or coach technicians on administrative or technical processes and procedures.
• Develop training plan for technicians to meet production demands.
• Resolves production issues and escalates those that require management attention.
• Accountable to ensure technicians safety and commitment to quality.
• Conduct performance review and formal performance/career development discussions with technicians.
• Monitor Production metric and develop continuous improvement plan through process improvement.
• Maintain shopfloor floor stock inventory.
• Drive technician commitment to 5S requirement.
• Ensure production order flow is uninterrupted and escalation when showstopper arises.

Requirement

• Minimum Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
• Min 5 years of working experience in manufacturing industry.
• Good understanding of LEAN Six Sigma.
• Leadership experience in managing technicians is preferred.
• Experience in assembly and testing processes is preferred.
• Experience in SAP is preferred.
• Experience in artificial lift will be an added advantage.
