• Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, fuel systems, gaskets, and seals.
• Perform routine maintenance operations, such as the replacement of equipment’s and aircraft components.
• Interpret specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities.
• Perform regular inspections to check for cracks, oil leaks, burned areas, foreign object damage, warping, distortions, missing segments and wear.
• Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company.
• Promote safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines, and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and keep apprised of safety concerns.
• Order supplies, equipment, materials and parts for repairs and general maintenance.
• Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures and ordered parts.

Qualification / Expertise / Skills

• Minimum ITE holder or GCE ‘O’ Level or Aerospace Engineering
• At least 5 years of experiences practical and documented aircraft maintenance experience.
• Those with experience on any of the following type B737,A320,Fokker 100 & ATR would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Base Maintenance activities would be an added advantage.

Performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on all types of equipment at industrial sites, including Acoustic Emission Testing on storage tanks, pressure vessels, pipelines or other type of structure. The main duties will include:

• Participation in the drafting of commercial proposals (depending on the profile)
• Preparation of missions (organizing the intervention schedule, preparing the equipment)
• Preparation of safety documents
• Performing on-site inspections (or in the laboratory)
• Writing inspection reports.

To perform NDT inspection in Rolls-Royce Seletar premises in an efficient and effective manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify surface or very near surface discontinuities in a weld or critical area of engine component using Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Inspection.
• Use Portable handheld scanning technique to detect surface and subsurface defects.
• Perform FPI and inspect under UV light for flaws open to the surface such as cracks, laps, etc.
• Perform Binocular Inspection which is capable of viewing up to 40X magnification.
• Monitor the usage and performed calibration on NDT equipment and measuring instrumentation.
• Ensure all tasks achieve agreed quality standards and deadlines in line with customer OEM and Company requirements.
• Work within NDT team to achieve optimum levels of performance, being particularly aware of On-Time Delivery.
• Ensure that processes and procedures are followed to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Comply with all safety procedures and legislation associated with NDT and aeronautical product.

Responsibilities

• Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results in accordance with procedures.
• Familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and as directed, be capable of providing the necessary guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
