POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of skilled Mechanical Equipment Technician duties including maintenance store inventory management, project execution, new equipment installation, repair, and modification of existing plant equipment and/or components. Responsibilities may include asset health inspection and reporting to ensure early detection with ample reaction time to keep production disruption to the minimum.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Management and control maintenance store inventory to ensure high availability with ease to locate parts
· Perform equipment and facilities maintenance through repair, troubleshoot electrical & instrumentation system (loop check, calibration, testing, etc.) to achieve high equipment reliability in a cost-effective manner.
· Perform maintenance activities (Corrective Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance) as per work request to extend equipment useful life according to operating policies and procedures, good engineering practices.
· Ability to utilize Hart Communicator, Pressure Calibrator, Process Calibrator, Multimeter, Thermal Imager, etc.
· Develop Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Risk Assessment (RA) and Work Method Statement (WMS).
· Permit applicant as per Permit-To-Work (PTW) system as part of regulatory and PSM requirement
· Project follow up and management (include installation).
· Vendor management.
· Emergency Call-Out Standby (after normal office hours).
· Participate in morning meeting.
· Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment.
· Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution.
· Ensure good housekeeping at work site as well as allocated area of work
· Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations.
· Raise permit to work for contractor in accordance to PSM requirement for hot work, confined space etc.
· Generating of work report as require using office software (MS Word / MS Excel / etc.).
· Communicate with production, quality control, warehouse, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment and to ensure quality products.
· Demonstrate and share job knowledge and skills, seeking opportunities to develop and stay current on industrial technologies and equipment.
· Demonstrate strong commitment to achieving company goals by focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
· Perform or assist with any operations, as required, or directed to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· 5+ years of relevant experiences in Process Construction Maintenance (PCM) sector
· 10+ years of relevant Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) experiences
· 2+ years of relevant construction or project experiences in Process Construction Maintenance (PCM) sector
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Familiar with P&ID, electrical drawing, instrument loop diagram, Engineering Drawing (General Assembly / Sectional / etc.)
· Knowledge of safety procedures.
· Vendor / Contractor management
· Sound troubleshooting skill
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, and other conditions found in manufacturing and laboratory environments, as well as travel and its associated risks.
Will require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
