Requirements

- Degree or Diploma in digital arts and designs, animation, or 3D

- Minimum of 4years experience in similar 3D artist role in VR or gaming industry.

- A strong portfolio demonstrating game ready 3D art created in realistic style. Ideally includes examples of hard surface, characters, and anatomy.

- Passionate about VR and immersive media

- Experience with low-poly modelling and/or digital sculpting, rigging, UV mapping, high to low poly baking and PBR texturing for wireless VR platform

- Experience with Unity 3D, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Suite, Photoshop, etc…

- Keen eye for detail and understanding of colour, light, structure and form

- Comfortable modelling and texturing anatomy and medical procedures and watching reference videos to achieve that

The main focus of this role is to work closely with the 3D Game product development team, utilizing your profound knowledge in Unity and Blender/ Maya to create efficient in-game-ready 3D models and brand assets, ensuring artistic coherence and delivering quality. Essential Responsibilities:

3D Modelling:

- Create detailed low poly 3D models of characters, props, game objects and particle systems for Unity that align with the project's artistic vision.

Animation & Unity VFX:

- Able to learn and assist with projects requiring fluid and smooth animation for characters and objects, ensuring seamless integration into the end result.

- Collaborate with animators and 3D game product team to bring life to game objects and enhance storytelling elements.

- Design and implement VFX: Create high-quality visual effects using Unity's particle system, shaders and frame-by-frame animation techniques as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

-Work closely with artists, designers, and developers to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall creative vision.

-Provide effective support to team members and guide them as and when required. Maintain ongoing positive relationships and effectively coordinate the project to ensure a smooth workflow and timely delivery of assets.

Problem Solving:

Job Qualification/ Requirements:

-School and/or proven experience as a 3D modeller/animator in the game design industry or related field.

-Proficiency in Blender/Maya, Animating, Unity particle VFX, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and other related tools to author 3D assets

-Portfolio showing 3D art skills and/or demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity

-Able to independently finish environment model creation (low poly), UV unwrapping/editing, material creation, texture baking, and rendering.
