-Lead daily operation of the vessels as ship-owners and/or bareboat charterers
-Ensure safe operation of vessels in cooperation with ship-managers in accordance with industry regulations as well as in-house procedures
-Ensure compliance with charter party requirements and company procedures as well as all relevant operational information between vessels, brokers, Charterers and agents.
-Ensure adequate coverage of insurance and liaise with underwriters and/or claim handlers
-Monitor and record all details of voyage performance including off-hire, stoppages and delays
-Handle insurance claim
-Conduct loss prevention proactively
-Negotiate claims and respond promptly and effectively and take a proactive approach in solving problems.
-Assist and liaise with Chartering team concerning any vessel information, requirements, questionnaires, certification and scheduling as part of all pre and post fixture support.
-Check loading/discharging ports planning and discuss with ship-managers in compliance with loading/discharging port requirements and monitor hold cleanliness requirements.
-Arrange all routine invoicing
-Handle dispute with Charterers by having assistance of defense club as appropriate
-Have a sound knowledge of charter party, ship-management contract and other relevant contracts
-Take care of charter hire payments and final settlement when time-charter is completed
-Go through ship-managers’ management and accounting reports
-Carry out briefing of top 4 officers/engineers
-Choose drydocking place in coordination with ship-managers by taking various factors into consideration such estimated deviation expenses, total drydocking expenses, duration, etc.
-Optimize utilization of resources
-Propose workflow improvements to improve efficiency
-Attend meeting, seminars, conferences to represent the company
